Had to look up who she was, tbh was expecting a mills&boon type author rather than an intellectual heavyweight.

Intellectual heavyweight? Sister, please!

She was an excruciatingly bad fiction writer.

I meant of course, heavyweight relative to mils&boon writers, and I just knew I flush you out with that post 433!

I wonder how much notice he had to give.

You’d think Leinster fans would nod along to The Fountainhead

Atlas Shrugged was my poison, and I only read it because I wanted to understand the neocons better.

Wednesday of a HC semi final week and not a word on OTB about the game.

Munster beating us, O’Gara getting a contract and Ireland ladies all more important apparently

I'd hate the importance of the Irish women and what we need to do for them to slip out of the conversation.

The other two are risibly irrelevant though. I mean even I, a long term fairly obsessive multi generational, Leinster fan prioritised spending the evening with my family and didn't watch the match on Saturday. I couldn't pretend to myself I was making a sacrifice either. I really can't remember a game I had that little interest in that wasn't Dragons on a freezing night, I just checked the score on here at some point and went back to watching the film.

You would think that the only Irish interest left in Europe this year was Ronan O'Gara the way the media looks this week. Thornley's fawning article yesterday was ridiculous.

This thread has been going since December 2011.
Start by one, named Bails (obviously a cricket fan too), it was inspired (?) by none other than the bould Gerry himself.
244 pages of posts later and a lot of Cordite has been whiffed, assuredly.

Jeebus that was as bad a podcast as you can get. BOD is fairly bad pundit too. He’s far too obsessed with being everyone’s mate to be a good pundit.

I liked Gin & Thornley for its barminess but it seems to have disappeared.
