Where do the Leinster underage squads get announced? Like u18 Schools, u19's, u20's etc.?
they don't usually until interpros start, some clubs announce on their social media who of their players have made leinster squads, which is the case with some of the above.

Noel McNamara off to the Sharks for a bit.

https://www.the42.ie/noel-mcnamara-lein ... 0-Jun2021/

I wonder might they be thinking of bringing him back to replace Leo after a year?

Likely/possible academy replacements?

Edit: Sorry MI, just seeing your post on this above. Ah well it can't be said enough :D

Denis Leamy, Kieran Hurrell and Trevor Hogan, if it's going to be internal.

If anyone is replacing Leo next year its Lancaster.

Whats the story with Fionn O'Hara? I've heard very good things ( minor intercounty footballer, trials with the Hawthorn Hawks ). Is he u19 or u20? Any chance of a academy spot?

he will be u20 this coming season.. I very much doubt any players will be joining the academy from school this summer due to a lack of rugby..

i think he was likely headed to Oz pre-covid, I'd imagine he will be a very strong contender for an academy place next summer.. it will be interesting to see if he focuses on 10 or another position this coming season. Big skillful athlete anyway something leinster need more of in the backline.

Getting the best backline on the field may involve Tector at 10 and O'Hara at 15 or 12.

I’m assuming that Carbery is a brother of Joey based on the Athy connection?

Interesting move. Sets them up with NH knowledge and they get a very good coach. He gets a new environment that will be a lot of learning.

The SA connection also helps him go for the Munster job. ROG may have his sights set higher already.

Interesting, haven't heard of this guy at all and just looked him up there - seemed like Hawthorn were really keen to bring him over.

I agree with you, I think it's unlikely that they would take somebody straight from school after the current year, but Hawthorn's interest might force their hand.

he is training with leinster u20's this summer, if he impresses enough you'd expect he will get an academy offer around october/november.

this has often happened to a player or two in recent seasons.

Very interesting, havn't heard much of Tector other than the name. They are both u20 in 2022 yeah? That's very interesting, there's been a feeling we havn't produced many X factors backs since Larmour really, would be nice for those 2 and Osbourne, Cosgrave etc. to come through!
