Airfares to London have have skrocketed for the HEC Final !

Fockers. . .now the competitions been officially launched Aer Lingus are now looking for EUR 105 plus tax EACH WAY for the weekend of the Final (18/19/20 May 2007)

BMI arn't far behind at EUR 75 plus tax each way

I looked last week (before the launch) and they were about EUR 150 return . . .should of booked them then

Fockers these 'Budget' airlines - seems they are only budget whne you want to fly at 11.30am on a Tuesday morning

Good old Brirish Airways. . .direct flights to London Gatwick (out Saturday lunchtime, back Monday afternoon) for EUR 120 inc taxes (the games on Sunday at 3pm). . .thats at least half the price of the Aer Lingus and BMI flights to Heathrow.

If your looking at going over for this you might want to start booking your flights. . did'nt want to to wait and rely on Ryanair, by the time they release their schedule they will be as bad as Aer Lingus

Try Ryanair into Luton. We paid about 82 quid per person return.out Friday evening and back Monday night.
There is a train that goes direct to London city centre in about half an hour.

Did'nt want to stay the Friday night so paid the bit extra and have booked with BA, the flight times are a little more civalised.

Didnt actually think Ryanair sold flights that far in advance.

Of course they do! They'll take your money and then change the flights around though.

Still, the hotel may be open by next summer (looking at the work that's still going on, it may not be though...). And as it's summer, you can always camp!

And there are some advantages to living here after all. Not many, mind...
