Anyone going?

Just booking a flight now. It's on Friday the 23rd and kickoff is at 7.30pm. Thing is, there is an Aer Lingus flight due in at 5.30 so plenty of time for a pint beforehand. Anyone know the area around Scotstoun at all?

Scotstoun is in a very residential area so there's not many pubs in the direct vicinity.

Given your time frame it'd probably be easiest to have a pint in the ground- there will be a kids game with a 6pm ko which can be quite entertaining (if it's dry!) or there is now the Clubhouse (which is basically a glorified old school sports hall with a bar and still very much a work in progress) which will serve alcohol from 6.

Am booked on that AL flight, ground is a short enough taxi from both town and the airport (in the event the flight was delayed).

I'm going too. On that flight out that lands at 5:30 and on the red home the next morning!

Easy enough to buy on the day, won't have much of a crowd so probably will only have a few sections open anyway. . .. unreserved is normally a good choice.

There might even be a 2 for 1 offer (or similar) through Groupon closer to the time. . .

Interesting. I was looking at their ticketing website and it looks like you can chose your seats. I'm guessing that the Groupon deal would be for the (uncovered!) terrace??

There's never been a groupon deal for Glasgow tickets afaik.

Both stands are reserved seats, mainstand being better (as shown by price difference) or you can stand behind the posts for cheaper again.

Yes, we don't get massive crowds, however all sections will be open (Scotstoun isn't murrayfield!), but don't forget the capacity is much less than Firhill if there's hoardes coming over.
