Golf

Post by Grumpy Old Man »

So, any golfers out there? Should there be a Leinster Rugby supporters golf society? Is there one and nobody told me?

I've played a bit in my time - not for a couple of years though - would be keen to get the clubs out for a bit of a swing if something could be arranged.

I play until I get to the green. I don't know what game I'm playing after that, but the hole is very rarely troubled.
I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.

Play when i get the opportunity....unforetunatly when your little brother is better than you, you get demoralised somewhat!!

A good golf day out would be a good laugh though, at the end of the season maybe....

...im sure there would be enough of us to literally tear up some course!

The difference between a handicap of 12-16 say, and a handicap of 5-8, is in two things:

(i) Fairways hit, and
(ii) Up and Downs...

I bought a Taylormade r5 (pure quality) last year to sort the first one, and bought Mizuno t-series wedges at Xmas to sort the second one...

I suppose theres only one way to find out.............

At least it proves hes not from Munster, otherwise it would be "yerrah, I hit the odd ball but not too well, wouldn't have a chance really against ye good guys, how many shots will ye give me, no, no, we toss a coin to see who tees off first etc etc"
