Great player but a grade-A moron.
At this stage probably best to get a price for him in the summer cause he's more trouble than he's worth.

No defending that.
He is a brilliant player. Absolutely world class. Be he's clearly focking mental.
I'd say today could be the last time he plays for LFC.

I hope not too but you'd have to question how much of the nonsense the owners are prepared to put up with.Sauvignon Blank wrote:I sincerely hope not.Avenger wrote:No defending that.

The establishment have long wanted Luis the Uruguayan out of England. Granted he does not help himself with this particular incident.
Hope the lad stays on, cos' I love watching him score goals for LFC.

I hope the club get in early before those fuc*wits at the FA and suspend him (for the rest of the season?).........if we've any hope of holding onto him Liverpool FC have to act decisively.Sauvignon Blank wrote:The media are/will turn this into a circus.Avenger wrote:Avenger wrote:No defending that.

Re: Liverpool Thread
How many matches this season has he been banned for? Was the racism ban this year or last year?
Just wondering what he has to do to become such a liability that he has to be moved on. On the other side of it, are the clubs that would pay big money still interested?

Re: Liverpool Thread
The reaction from global rugby fans is a bit sickening, I must say. What Saurez did was absolutely appalling - and it is so easy pointing fingers at the media and the FA, but he bite a man on the arm - but rugby is a sport where we see too many cases of eye gouging a season and I know what I would consider a lot worse. If anyone else puts up one of those photo montages how football can learn from rugby, I will try and respond with footage of Schalk Burger pulling Luke's eye out.
As for Saurez, you have to wonder what possesses a man to bite a fellow pro on the arm, or anyone for that matter. Leading with "he's brilliant" or "world class" is irrelevant. Biting someone is just wrong.

Re: Liverpool Thread
To be honest, you could probably excuse a one off incident, especially because he is such an influential player, but there has been the racism ban, the diving incidents, now the biting. He seems to be spending more time on the front page, and not enough on the back.

That was last season. He has just missed games for accumulating yellow cards this season.Logorrhea wrote:How many matches this season has he been banned for? Was the racism ban this year or last year?

Re: Liverpool Thread
I don't know if you can excuse it as a one off since it's not his first time biting. He picked up a 7 week ban for biting PSV Eindhoven midfielder Otman Bakkal during his last ever game for Ajax in 2011.Logorrhea wrote:To be honest, you could probably excuse a one off incident, especially because he is such an influential player, but there has been the racism ban, the diving incidents, now the biting. Munster lads on to say there was no intent and that he is a lovely lad off the field and that this is just another blue jersey against a red jersey incident!

Re: Liverpool Thread
A fantastic player but with an awful disciplinary record, it can't be a surprise to anyone after Evra and the previous incident when he was with Ajax that they were going to come down like a ton of bricks.
Suarez definitely needs a kick up the backside that a 10 wk ban will give to sort out his disciplinary issues, all very well being a lovely bloke off the pitch but he is costing the club and teammates with his disciplinary issues and resulting penalties.
Club and player need to take it on the chin, learn from it and use it for motivation when he get's back.
Only a man who knows what it is like to be defeated can reach down to the bottom of his soul and come up with the extra ounce of power it takes to win when the match is even. Muhammad Ali
