Ireland @ Paris 2024 Olympics
Incredible gold winning swim tonight from Danial Wiffen. Simply stunning.
Some week for Armagh so far.
Edited: changed thread title. looks like we will be winning a few more medals.

That performance by the light weight double rowers was somewhat impressive.

What an Olympics we’re having.
And now we have a fantastic Gold Medal for Rhys McClenaghan in the Pommel Horse

this is unreal. Well done Rhys. A shame our sevens couldn't make the medals podium but we have Adeleke and other medal contenders to come in track & field.

So...it turns out we are the greatest "small nation" in the Olympics. Quite incredible.

Harrington, I think, has guaranteed us another medal. Silver, if I'm not mistaken.

We certainly don't miss Pat Hickey. Good riddance.

Re: Ireland @ Paris 2024 Olympics
McIlroy on the 6th is just three shots off the medals alongside about 10 other players in contention. five shots off the lead.
There are so many still in contention I wonder what happens if there are ties. medals shared? playoff holes? paper scissors rock?

Playoff - McIlroy was involved in a playoff for bronze at the Tokyo OlympicsMylesNaGapoleen wrote:McIlroy on the 6th is just three shots off the medals alongside about 10 other players in contention. five shots off the lead.

Great performance Kellie Harrington. I'm surprised it was a split decision cause I thought she won all three rounds with the last round the closest.

Re: Ireland @ Paris 2024 Olympics
On non Irish OLympics content, have to say that the most thrilling event for me were the two boxing matches last night with Cuba v France (think it was light weight) and the Ukranian lad v Kazakstan. Two wonderful bouts.
