Well the Rams are certainly throwing everything at free agency.

Their stadium is costing close to 5bn dollars. Mad sh*t altogether.

Re: NFL
Yeah. Great game. Brilliant way to end the season. Two teams that were both on it.

Re: NFL
You'd have to feel sorry for the Eagles outhalf, to score three tries and a conversion and still end up on the losing side is such bad luck. However the chap playing 10 for the Chiefs has been the outstanding player in Colonial Rugby this season and deserved his Senior Cup triumph

Re: NFL
Great game. Disappointed to lose it. Feel like the Chiefs Defense was the better of the 2. Which is a bit weird as the Eagles managed to keep Mahomes off the field for so long. But they got the big takeawy that turned the big mo in their favour. 2 great teams.

It was a shootout and came down to whoever got the last chance. More luck than anything.paddyor wrote: ↑February 14th, 2023, 1:47 pm Great game. Disappointed to lose it. The penalty kept Philly off the field for a proper shot. They'd have been better off giving up the touchdown than a first down. But a field goal deficit with that much time left is probably a win for them too, so there was a big incentive to go for the hold.
It was a borderline call but that's on the defender for not having the discipline. 49ers lost a Superbowl about 10 years ago because officials didn't make the call and it doesn't help the game to reward the team fouling.

Re: NFL
It wasn't borderline. It's a hold, period.
The guy even admitted it after the game and said he was just hoping he'd get away with it.
I listened to Pro Football Talk pod yesterday and Simms basically said if they were to let calls like that go, what is the point in having a good QB and WR?
The issue is that sometimes they aren't called. Not that that one was called.

Re: NFL
I agree. That's what I mean by a borderline call.
If the Chiefs had lost the no call wouldn't have been as notorious. Making the call was right but it changed the narrative. And it also instantly finished a fascinating contest. But that's on the defender, not the officials.
It's also not that rare, see Paddy Wallace almost giving up the Grand Slam. The last HC Final.
Fans prefer when the game doesn't come down to a call that could have gone either way. But sport is sport.

I've no isse with that call. The takeaway i meant was the strip six when the Eagles were around halfway and leading 14-7. The Eagles got away with a hold just before that on 3rd down as well to get KC off the field.ronk wrote: ↑February 14th, 2023, 2:37 pmIt was a shootout and came down to whoever got the last chance. Harry Mallinder also trying out. As is Darragh Leader.
Mallinder looked really good for the England U20s. I hadn't realised he retired a while back.

Just to give a picture of the difference in scale. Their cap per team is probably more than at the 6N teams put together and they have 32 teams.
