I've played on a couple of artificial pitches, it hurts like a mofo, particularly if it's a very dry day. Also the heat reflected from it if it's sunny can be a problem. Although probably not something Sarries need to worry about. when it's wet it's like running on soggy dog. Also makes scrummaging...

The Tip Tackle had more potential to harm definitely. Drove into the ground. The ruck to the head was minimal contact, but nonetheless it's a boot to the head. Should have ended his tour. Strokosh had tweeted that he felt the yellow was sufficient so that may have helped his cause.
