Re: Mike Ross Appreciation Thread!
Would suspect he will be the Starting TH for another while. Bit of competition will only spur him on. Dont know the man well, but know some of his mates from being in College at the same time. Sound fella and all around nice guy by all accounts. I wonder does DK not rate him for the simple reason th...

Re: Leinster vs Munster October 6 2012
I have a few big worries about this weekend. No build up, too many injuries, not playing well. We took a hockeying out Wesht and Munster did in Wales, even still. That said, Paddy Power have us 2/5, and you never see their children going barefoot... Dont have stats to hand for last few Munster games...

Re: Ireland Thread 2012-13
Its pretty clear that the raw materials for a very good team are here in Ireland. You look at Leinster, Ulster and of course Munster a few years ago and being close to top of Europe was nothing alien. The coaches job is to take them and make them into a winning team. Ireland dont seem to be even a t...

Not confirmed... but seems likely... that said, surely RTE wouldnt report anything without a good source? Guess his legacy will be all about this season now! http://www.rte.ie/sport/rugby/rabodirectpro12/2012/0221/mcgahant_munster.html Are the Limerick team going to try do what we did and rec...

Re: Cardiff 1/4 final ticket prices
I bought my IRE v ITA tickets for €20. (total EUR 45.90) I stand corrected. Note to self, avoid non specific comments! When i looked at Ireland Wales tickets the options were not quite as good. Hence my comment. Might be interesting to know the breakdown versus seats, how many are 20, 30, 50...

Re: Cardiff 1/4 final ticket prices
at 20 to 30 for the basic seats thats pretty good value for a (the?) top team in a good competition playing an attractive type of rugby!
(especially given the tripe that a certain Eddie O Kiddinme organises there which starts around the 50 mark...)

Re: Brad Thorn coming to Leinster?
Wow... The prospect of Thorn in LR is savage. Can you imagine him tearing up the RDS... Dev's game will also come on playing beside a guy like that without a doubt!
Worried about Browne carrying an injury.. Seriously... Not good luck to say the least! Particularly given how hes been coming along!

True... No reason he couldnt give a bit of insightful analysis to RTE as well as to LR!
In RTE's case would be nice for a change!

Re: Season ticket e-mail for Leinster-Cardiff game
Frickin disaster. Ticketba$tard is a piece of cr@p. Spent 25 mins going through selecting tickets then getting we cannot process your transaction at this time.... Eventually got them. 30 minutes on a 5 minute job. Agree with the ST holders getting advance sale over the aviva 10 year gang, after all ...

Re: Montpellier v Leinster
Havent seen much of Browne but a quick look at his stats would suggest he seems the right man for the grunt, the French experience is no harm either!
Think McLaughlin will cover the Line out so looks good to me. Horses for Courses selection which is why we built a squad.
Cautiously Optimistic.

Re: Heaslip: Bank account goes one way...performances the ot
Bank Account shouldnt be mentioned in any way shape or form. I dont buy that just financial motivation gets you to that level. Drive, desire, motivation and continous self improvement is a lot of it. (Large skills helping dosent hurt) That said, Jamie dosent seem to be as visible to the untrained ey...

Re: Leinster v Munster Nov 4th
Man for Man, we are better in front row, back row forwards, and in the majority of places in the backs. This is winnable. What depends is whether Munster bring the intensity, and that we match it. If that happens i am optimistic! God I hope DK has no involvement in any Leinster selection, ever again...

Re: Route 6'6"
Oddly Enough I seem to remember Diarmuid "The Langer/Rock" O Sullivan lining out for Highfield on the Wing in the AIL during his last season playing inter county. I think that part of the reason he was with Highfield was because he was on strike for something or another (about average for ...

Re: Dispatches: How to buy a football club.
English/Professional football is a bit on the corrupt side? Nothing new there. Good programme shedding some light on it though, shame nothings going to come of. No shock to see Alex Ferguson being brought up. Seems like a system where everyone has to get their hands dirty to get ahead there!

Re: Ireland's 2011 Rugby World Cup - Post mortem.
I find this thread a humourous distraction from a slow day in work.
Behind the team - absolutely. Management slightly less.
Funny to read back post WC and hopefully see how wrong it was! (or read back and see how prophetic!! )
Finally - its a silly season thread! Relax!

Re: OLSC AGM
50 quid is a bit steep for what you get there... In fairness I have to say ive done well out of the blues membership, cant get to enough games to justify a ST, and no way im buying one for the locals, but you get a few ticket offers for big games with the blues- well worthwhile! Best of luck to the...
