Re: Montpellier v Leinster

They're shooting out of the line when pressed in defence. Would never do that against BOD, got away with it a few times. We need to punish them for it.

Re: English/ French/ SA club breakaway threat rumours

Yet another daft plan being considered just because contracts are up for renegotiation. All the buzzwords are casually thrown in: salary cap, player welfare, fixture congestion. There's also this gem "One of the advantages of a recession is that people realise you have to do things differently ...

Seems to be a deal in the interest of all parties. Sale were getting centre heavy.

Re: BOD and SHAGGY out for season

Heaslip's knee incident, like John Hayes, Mal O'Kelly and Jerry Flannary's (stamping) were one-off's - so for me stupid. Leamy & Horan are repeat offenders of cheap shots just like the Armitage's & Lawes of this world - so for me scum Flannery is borderline. He has been banned a couple of t...

Re: BOD and SHAGGY out for season

Sheesh! Thats a fairly vitriolic post there Jackass. You really dont like our southern brothers much do you? Knock yourself out, if thats what floats your boat. IMO it was absolutley a cowardly, nasty shoulder charge that could have caused a lot of damage. I think to suggest that he was targeted in...

Re: A question from Bristol.......

He's deceptively strong. Bernard Jackman said in his autobiography that he was as strong as Cian Healy (himself a freak in the gym). When Jackman was retiring he recommended that Leinster didn't need to hire anyone as backup. He's a converted backrow. He's fast, has a decent change of direction and ...

Re: Delon Armitage facing disciplinary hearing

5 bans in 11 months and he actually has his ban reduced, even when 2 of those happen in the same match, and then he's allowed serve them concurrently. I suppose at least they're doing something, even if they should be doing more. Armitage is not changing his game, it's just a question of whether he ...

Re: Leinster v Munster Nov 4th

Janeymac08, that makes absolutely no sense - If the ref had decided on a penalty try for SOB not binding, why wait til the ball came out? He'd just blow it immediately. And why Coughlin waste time if he knew it was coming? Ur talking sh!te :D I think the ref gave it for an accumulation of penalties...

Re: Cillian Willis

Yes fair play to him, he did well. The long wait continues for the first home grown starting 9 since Alain Rolland. This I don't really get. Leinster seem to be capable of finding young talented scrummies. Indeed, over the years Quins signed Ben Willis, Simon Keogh (he was a scrummy/wing at the tim...

Re: BOD and SHAGGY out for season

Well it's no secret he was carrying an injury, and it was that targeted exactly off the ball, not exactly far fetched...what does McGahan / Horan / Munster care, when it comes to us lifting a double trophy in Thomond. I'd say probable more than "Conspiracy theory". BOD has been carrying i...

Re: Montpellier v Leinster

Gray can drive to Scotland training from Manchester or get a much shorter train. I'd imagine that's a factor.

There are advantages to having Toner at the front, but if you but him at the back or the middle then you force teams to throw to the front or take a bigger risk on losing possession.

Re: Leinster v Munster Nov 4th

As for both yellow cards, I didn't really see what Leamy was supposed to have done and i watched Heaslip's on hi-def slo-mo and I don't think it was a penalty. But in both cases there should have been one minutes before, Munster probably should have had one in the first half, and we could well have...

munster team for next week imo, Wdp, varley, botha, doc, poc, leamy, pom, caughlan, murray, rog, hurley/barnes, mafi, chambers, dougie, murphy Horan, hayes, fogs, ryan, ronan, keatley, barnes, tol.
