Re: Munster Thread 2010/2011
So, interested to hear what Leinster fans thought of Murray last night. Was a big step up from playing the likes of the Dragons but personally was happy to see the way he handled himself. Seems to have the temperament for it, which is all important in a SH. Thoughts? (Not you Hugonaut, don't want t...

Re: Munster V Leinster
Thought the ref got too many big decisions wrong and that swung the game in Munsters favour. Other then that I wouldnt be too worried if I was Leinster, or excited if I was Munster. All the big games are still to come. Anyone else here Ward say that the force was clearly with Munster. I mean seriou...

Re: Munster V Leinster
I hope I am not Jinxing it but I had to laugh at Hugh Farrellys discription of the Electric Earls in the paper> He has 1 magners try this season and 2 hcups tries. None in the 6 nations and none in the Nov friendlys. If fact he has not scored for Ireland for over a year. If that is Electric form I ...

Re: Munster V Leinster
Being realistic we probably will not see any backline moves today, as they'll be in the bag for next week. We'll have to win by taking on their pack and playing heads up rugby. My guess is Munster to win with our backline very much holding back for next weekend. We wont see new moves if they have a...

Re: 200 Caps.
Hats off to the guy. Great achievement. One of the great Irish wingers of all time My favourite Shane horgan try was against Wales in the early 2000s. We lost in lansdowne but i was watching from the south terrace as he got the ball at the end of the line about 10yards out with nowhere to go except ...

Re: Munster V Leinster
I hope we beat them like a red haired stepchild! There, I said it! The pre-09 pain is still fresh. Never over it. The bitterness in my heart over the 2006 fist pumping celebration over the hoardings to chants of easy! easy! and the grim humourless spite of the Munster fans around me at the end will...

Re: Connacht 10/11
Has anyone heard if the two young welsh lads connacht signed can play for ireland. last thing i heard was that playing u20s for the welsh against france u20s ruled them out, but connacht were seeking clarification from the irb. wouldnt like to see connacht reduce have 2 NIQ spots taken by them. jam...

Re: Munster Thread 2010/2011
I'll really miss seeing him play. I know he had his flaws but he was actually one of my favourite players. I loved his aggression, his workrate, the way he could steal a ball at the breakdown when it looked impossible to do so and his great defence to name but a few things. I'd love to have had his...

Re: Munster Thread 2010/2011
Might seem crazy to some but I've been advocating converting TOL to 10 as ROGs long term replacement. Both Murray and Williams have shown both are more than capable to stepping up. Played 30mins there one time away to the Ospreys in the ML 2seasons ago and did very well. I believe McGeechan said it ...

getting mugged by a 23 year old tighthead on one leg) It's common enough to sprain an ankle in such a way as it's very uncomfortable to run and possibly even unstable but perfectly sound for putting serious weight through it. He looked like he was struggling around the park and living for the scrum...

Re: Ulster 2010/11
I can't wait to see the impact Pienaar is going to have. Hopefully he adds something extra to the team and turns NOC into a better 10. I cannot wait for the game now, here's hoping for a big performance pre HC Ulster are now well served in the front row, secondrow, backrow = savage pack. Don't have...

Re: Connacht 10/11
On the game itself i thought Wilkinson was very solid, excellent prop for Connacht, Flavin was full of beans made some good tackles, Hagan put in a serious performance. He was obviously fupped in the scrum after an early ankle injury but did enough to disrupt yapp on one leg. Swift is a real workhor...

Re: Connacht 10/11
Yeah, I've always really liked O'Shea's analysis. He's the only one on rte rugby coverage that actually knows what he's talking about. Absolutely agree, I'm a huge fan of his too. Having said that I'm not sure I'd be too happy with his RTE commitments 8) if I were a Quins fan . Why? What did he say?
