Re: Connacht 2022/23
Any truth to the Bundee’s leaving rumour? Likely on his way to Shelbyville. With Goggin being moved on there and Shayne Bolton getting a contract extension out West that clears the way for Aki to move South. Connacht get the okay to sign Cordero and upgrade Hansen's contract to a central one in com...

Re: Leinster v Leicester - Aviva Stadium - Good Friday - 8pm
I do think Doris is easier to fit into 7 (in our system) than Leavy at 8 albeit. Coaches clearly feel Conan, Baird, VDF and Doris are well ahead of other backrows. Will Connors could also easily slot in. I'd be slightly worried that, whatever about the selection this impact would have on a single g...

Adam Byrne off at the end of the season apparently to the US rugby league.

Re: 6 Nations 2023 - Ireland
by enby There should be an Act of the Oireachtas prohibiting the selection of Doris at any position other than 8. He is wasted at 6. What is the point of turning down easy goal kicks when the bonus point is in the bag and the result is in the balance?? Very much this. O'Toole has finally come of ag...

Re: Connacht 2022/23
Connacht aren't going to give serious consideration to signing Tector to drop Carty. Tectors best chance if he went to Connacht would be hoping that Carty ships an injury. But he can actually in Leinster, for now at least. In a year or two as the post Sexton era settles then the maths may change. B...

Re: Connacht 2022/23
Who would you be comfortable with letting go? There's not much fat on the squad these days but we are probably a back row and 2-3 outside backs heavy at the moment. There are 15 Connacht born players in the senior squad currently, but 9 of those are 24 or younger. The 2001 age group has yielded 5 s...

To Munster? Presumably Ulster or Connacht would be interested too.

More importantly, it’s less likely Osborne is heading down there now.

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
After seeing Ulster slip up against Treviso I was convinced I had jinxed Munster by saying that they would finish the weekend in the top 8. Thankfully Connacht and Scarlets did Munster a massive favour. There is still a lot of rugby to be played, but Munster are getting a lot closer to ensuring HC ...

He's good, but he's plateaued. With Kilgallen and Chay Mullins coming through and if they can get and keep Adam Byrne fit then they will cope. Hansen going onto a central contract will help too.

Connacht need to get Duggan or Burke some game time at loose head in case anything happens to Buckley/Dooley.

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
Some good news on the injury front with Frisch looking likely to return to full training this week. Hopefully he and Fekitoa can form a solid centre partnership, as Munster could really do with a solid partnership for a few games in a row. What sort of team do you reckon Munster will be able to fie...

Re: Connacht 2022/23
Wonder would Paul O'Connell be interested in a Head Coach role at Connacht on Andy Friend's departure? I hope not. Paulie is superb in the role he's doing and there's nobody in World rugby that I'd prefer to have. In time, somebody whom he's worked closely with will mimic his ability in this field ...

Re: Ireland Autumn Internationals 2022
Thought Marty Moore scrummaged well but he is just not mobile enough for Farrell’s style of play and this will result in holes others have to cover, can see the logic for TOT ahead of him. I think people that say that are just basing it on Marty's appearance and not his actual performances where he...

Re: Ireland A vs New Zealand XV Friday 4th November
Prendergast the best of a back row that was dominated. Along with Loughman and Deegan when he came on that was the best of the pack. Frawley and Hume poor, and although Casey tried hard, Blade looked sharper when he came on. Osborne and particularly Hume were very poor. Nash the best of the backs.

Re: Emerging Ireland to tour SA
I might be wrong but it sounds like a very mixed squad. Fringe ireland players and the rest will be made up with youngsters to get a look at them for 2024 and beyond. In that case there might not be too much disruption to the provinces. You may well be right there Dropkick, particularly after the f...
