Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm
I’m sorry but Harry’s performance last night has sealed it for me, the guy has the requirements to be a great 10 for us. If it was Johnny last night who was playing all would be screaming from the rooftops how good he is as a ten. You don’t get the great defence splitting passes without the risk tha...

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm
These type of games just continue to show our player development. While Conan well deserved his motm, I thought Baird was pure class. What a game by Harry, put us where we needed to be when the game was in the balance and then Ross came on and showed his worth - 2 great tracking back try saving tack...

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm
I would say the 6n has put a spanner in that timeline. He hasn’t had the core group for nearly 8 weeks which will require some bedding in time and change of mindset from irish tactics to Leinster tactics I think you make valid points but regardless of the possible setbacks that you've mentioned the...

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm
Good time after tomorrows game to gauge where out new defensive system is at. JN said it would take till April to bed in. Well here we are (nearly) at April. Have we still a ways to go or are we nearly there? I would say the 6n has put a spanner in that timeline. He hasn’t had the core group for ne...

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm
If it was anyone else bar the bulls I would say we could have gone with Baird and McCarthy in second row with deegan at 6. Very hard on max missing out with how well he performed. He must be asking himself what more can he do

Is that true? If so, where would it be?

Re: Zebre v Leinster Sat 23 March KO 7:35pm RTE2
Quite a lot of positives in that performance. Absolutely. The list is long. Deegan really should be pushing for a Europe spot, based on his performances this season, of which this was again good. You would think we would go 6:2 this week and again against Leicester. Particularly if Frawley is fit. ...

Re: Zebre v Leinster Sat 23 March KO 7:35pm RTE2
Looking at the team first I was a little worried but then deep diving there is a solid pack there with Ross M bossing the pack. Also in the friendlies we didn’t have Osborne and turner playing centre and I think they are a solid centre partnership. Couple that with Ross B having more rep time and fr...

Re: Rumour Mill
If (and it's quite a significant if) we can get Tupou fit both in terms of injuries as well as conditioning (which is suspect too), he would be a great signing. At 135kg+ he has the physical profile that we lack generally (Ala'alatoa is the closest thing at 125kg+). He has a loose game that no prop...

Re: Irish U20s 2024
Finn Treacy looks like he could be big potential on the wing. Big lad with great skills. Jack Murphy was superb tonight, those touch finders behind his goals were daggers for the English players. Am I being too harsh but spicers fitness looks to be lacking somewhat compared to others?

When I saw the two I was keen to get their points but I thought Johnny Holland was very poor and gave very little to the conversationDave Cahill wrote: ↑March 4th, 2024, 9:47 pmThought so too. Re: Cardiff Away, March 2nd
The reality is that it would have probably been a better choice having Harry playing 10 and Ross playing 12 last night - Ross being the better tackle. Think it’s very unfair to be saying that Harry shouldn’t be near our 10 spot on a performance at 12 where he really is not a 12 at all. I’d be very h...

Re: Leinster Squad 23-24
Back to the Ross story/rumour, my reason for posting last week was he out of contract at the end of the season, was that the rumour of his leaving was mentioned at an outing I was at, would be sad to see him go but wouldn’t begrudge him especially with the lack of games he’s getting this season and ...

Two things on this, I’m almost sure that the last style of friendly like this was where we played chile before the World Cup in a warmup for them. We hosted however chile streamed the match and had over 5k in viewers which was played midweek in the afternoon if I’m not mistaken. Leinster are very fo...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
Just been listening to several podcasts from our mainstream media over the last few days and I have to say it really disappoints me that they are not willing to be critical of players (especially when they come from wearing a red jersey) who have a poor performance for Ireland. Maybe I’m wrong but I...

Guess the writing is on the wall so for Michael Milne and he's out the door. Exciting side though - great to see Osborne and RB back. Keen to see how McErlean does - he was very exciting at 20s. Barron looks like he took advantage of McKee's injury this season to have possibly edged in front there ...
