Re: Friday's rant
Clare Daly and Mick Wallace – a pair of Quisling f*cks. Two stooges for Putin who are a disgrace to Ireland. Couldn't disagree. I wonder if either consulted their European constituents before they voted. Their constituents will get their chance in the 2024 elections - I hope they grasp the opportun...

Re: Leinster Squad 21-22
I think that we need to divorce our thinking about central contracts from the national team. It may have been the case 15 years ago, but now central contracts are used to contract players for strategic reasons within Irish rugby, not necessarily for the irish team. The ghost of Eddie (running aroun...

Re: Men's Six Nations 2022
That's just not true at all. Off top of my head he has had good cameos in beating NZ twice. He has beaten Australia as a starter. Played a key role in beating Scotland in 2019. Played well against Japan in summer and Arg in Autumn and against France last week. You can both think he played poorly at...

https://www.rte.ie/sport/rugby/2022/0224/1282809-italy-feature/ Midway through the article it confirms the academy system has been scrapped The National Academy is being scrapped. Seems to me they are following our setup with the Clubs looking after the younger players themselves. Seems like a penn...

There was zero point trying to win that BP from our 22 all the time. Completely disrespected the oppo last night. We kept them in the game and they were not good, we just Harry Byrne'd ourselves out of a BP.

Re: Leinster Squad 21-22
Why shouldn't he be starting? Are we expecting a player who’s made one appearance for Munster, once capped for SA and then discarded to come in and start for us over James Ryan or Baird? Molony is a more proven player than him also. I can’t see how anyone could say this is an ambitious signing. Rem...

Long term strategy gone out the window with Van Graan, its all reactive at the moment without the coaching team in place.

Re: Leinster exiles, where are they.
Paddy Patterson got a 2 year contract from Munster, still don't understand why he wasnt rated at leinster. Unlucky timing was probably a big part of it. Delighted to read that he got the contract, speaking to a family friend in 2019 she indicated that he felt he had missed his chance and was probab...

RIP Mark Lanegan
Amazing voice and career. The best QOTSA vocalist, Screaming trees were the most underrated grunge band, his collaborations are brilliant even the recent Moby, Kris Kristofferson jam.
His album field songs is a classic. Such a haunting voice.

Last week I listened to every Rugby podcast available in Ireland to get as much Fra v Ire analysis as I could and other than the ubiquity of (everyone's on nickname terms with) Berch, I could not get over Hugh Cahill's approach to hosting a podcast. Why does he put himself in the position of being ...

Is there any truth to the rumour that John jumped ship for the queen's pound and joined the new CardiffBluestalk podcast?

He was 18, obviously impressionable, no longer knows the lad who led him down the wrong path, been told to make the victims whole. IMO he should pay the victims back, apologise and a line should be drawn under it. My wife works for a bank and has to deal with students being duped into laundering ca...

Taking my little people to their first ever Leinster match. I can't wait, fingers crossed they make it through the 80! I was told years ago that kids need to be kept warm. If they are cold you are screwed - you either go home early or the whining ruins the match. The advice I was given was to bring...
