What's the source? Healy has always been more of a twitter user, and he's said nothing on there yet.

The media over here were already trying to brand him such. As far as I know the stamp is his only ban, and it was completely out of character for him.simonokeeffe wrote:he gets done for it he'll be branded as a dirty player forever more in the Uk after the Cole stamping

Re: IRB to trial new scrum engagement
Maybe if the IRB dealt with the real problem with scrum refereeing we'd see some actual change. The wilful ignorance of every top level referee when it comes to scrums (ex backs for the most part) is astounding. It's not even that hard - keep the binding off the arm, keep the driving straight, and u...

Re: 4 years ago today
I went to the Wasps game at twickers and had a few turnips giving it that we'd never win the HC after the match. Roll on May and I was watching the game in a pub called The Donkey in Leicester, after an afternoon of Fat Boy 7s Rugby with the local club winning the tournament as part of "Les Imm...

Re: O'Connell not cited
From a rugby referee I know. Bizarre not to cite. It's also explicitly illegal to kick the ball out of a player's hand (iirc it makes no difference if the player is on the floor and he was in the action of placing the ball so he was legal), the fact it was very dangerous and resulted in injury shoul...

Nowhere in law 10.4c) does intent come into the matter. 10.4 Dangerous play and misconduct (c) Kicking. A player must not kick an opponent. Funny, I thought people here would be glad to see the back of the unions who kept undesirables such as blacks and Irish out of their work forces.

I fail to see how McKenzie is setting the bar low. Of course, I'm a prop forward too so you undoubtly think I'm not worthy of having an opinion.leinster4life13 wrote:Is everyone voting for Ewen doing so in support of him getting the job or just being realistic about how low the IRFU will set the bar?

Re: Contract renewals
One thing that's worried me about McCarthy in the last few games has been his non-existence in the lineout. Haven't got stats, but I'd wager he's far behind POM and D. Ryan in terms of lineout takes. Himself and Roux would find it tough to keep our lineouts steady together I'd wager. Not an issue. ...

The pure fact that he didn't rely on Kidney and the IRFU for his wage means he's in a unique position as an Irish player of being able to speak the truth without fear.

Re: Lukey Fitz
For every knee ligament injury you get, the probability of that injury reoccuring increases ten fold with every one. Trust me, this is coming from a man who's career was cut short because of knee injuries that if they never occured, O'Gara would only have about 6 caps for Ireland. ;) Perhaps clinic...

It's very much unlikely that an ACL injury would have occurred because of older injuries. Much more likely that it was an awkward fall or tackle. Odds are his previous history has got nothing to do with that.
