Re: Leinster v Leicester - Sat 6 April, 20.00 RTE2

Happy to see Molony starting.

He has somehow fallen out of favour on here, but he is central to a lot of what makes us tick, not least the lineout.
People have short memories but he was outstanding again last season.

Re: Leinster v Leicester - Sat 6 April, 20.00 RTE2

The team I'd like to see against Leicester (and some reasons). 15. Keenan 14. Larmour (more experienced than Russell in defence) 13. Ringrose 12. Osborne (Left-footed and on form; Henshaw HIA last week) 11. Lowe 10 Ross Byrne (Calmer leader who optimises others; better tackler than Harry) 9. JGP 1....

Re: Leinster v Leicester - Sat 6 April, 20.00 RTE2

Osborne has stepped up every time he's played at a higher level IMO. If we can't trust him now when will we be able to. Think he has put in great performances time after time and is underrated on here. Every poster has said they trust him (and Frawley and Turner). So you can stop the tracker mortga...

Re: Leinster v Leicester - Sat 6 April, 20.00 RTE2

My concern would more be the lack of experience organising a defence.

Re: Leinster v Leicester - Sat 6 April, 20.00 RTE2

Osborne and Frawley are great players. As is Turner. But, for a Heineken Cup knockout match, I'd be a little concerned about any partnership without any of Henshaw, Ringrose and Ngatai. The fact Henshaw wasn't running yesterday doesn't necessarily mean he's out though. It's an 8-day turnaround from ...

Re: Leinster v Leicester - Sat 6 April, 20.00 RTE2

We badly need our lineout to stop malfunctioning too. Molony and Deegan have arguably been our best lineout performers. Hard to see both being involved.

Re: Leinster v Leicester - Sat 6 April, 20.00 RTE2

Leinster Rugby Head Coach Leo Cullen has issued an injury update ahead of Saturday’s Investec Champions Cup Round of 16 clash with Leicester Tigers in Aviva Stadium (KO: 8pm, live on RTÉ2, TNT Sports and RTÉ Radio). Over 30,000 tickets for the game have been sold, with tickets still available here....

Re: Leinster v Leicester - Sat 6 April, 20.00 RTE2

So many players performing so well. Fitness will determine some positions, but I’d be fairly confident in lots of the “understudies”. Porter would be a big loss but, based on Friday, Milne looks ready. Osborne certainly is. In fact, he offers more than either Henshaw and Ringrose in certain facets o...

Leinster v Leicester - Sat 6 April, 20.00 RTE2

A thread about the last 16 game (and not the pool game).

Re: Leicester v Leinster Sat 20th 3.15 TNT Sports

There is no way Connors should be picked on the bench over Penny and Deegan. I also thought Molony was very good against Bulls, and better than Jenkins.

That said, this is the wrong thread for discussing this weekend’s game, so I’ll create a new one.

I do

However I dont know what a tracker mortgage is.
A tracker mortgage is when a bank offers you a mortgage you don’t want to try and divert you from the mortgage that is really in your interest.

Re: The quickening 2024

I've gone with top 6 as there is a bit off a drop off after that. 4 of these 6 likely to get a home QF Round 14 Round 15 Round 16 Round 17 Round 18 Leinster Rugby Lions (A) Stormers (A) Ospreys Ulster (A) Connacht Glasgow Warriors Sharks Zebre (A) Bulls (A) Lions (A) Zebre Vodacom Bulls Munster Osp...

Re: The quickening 2024

Bulls last 5 URC games are all SA, including 4 in a row at home which emphasises the importance of tonight's win. Finish in first place and we potentially have a final in Dublin, finish second and we potentially have a final in Pretoria. Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk You would imagine the dif...

Re: Rumour Mill

I think it’s fairly clear which player you would want to lose from that list, given both injury record and performance potential. We may not have the choice though. Boyle has gotten serious gametime this season, so it would be a strange time to choose to leave. Realistic chance he could become first...

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm

For me, based on this season, Harry is in possession. He still hasn’t convinced me that he’s “the one” long term, but nobody has been better this season.

That said, Ross has a lot of credit in the bank, and he was far better last night than in his two previous outings.

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm

There are a few posters here with ‘anti-Luke’ agendas, that don’t merit engagement’s. He has more heart and balls than all of them combined. Tackle was high and a clear yellow but from a Leinster perspective, his fight and work-rate are inspiring and set the standard for a best in class organisatio...

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm

But what really was so impressive was the handling. Some magnificent passes: cat flap, flat, catch-pass, skip passes, tip backs.
Some incredible handling of not easy balls too. It was globe trotters stuff.

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm

Yes. We never gave up in defence. Great scramble whenever they got round the edge we leave out wide. I’ll say it again, because I think he was slandered by another poster on here, and regularly gets a hard time, but that cover tackle by McGrath was the epitome of that. Yes, he got the technique badl...

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm

Russell and Turner are having great seasons They really are, I think Russell has pushed himself into European contention - especially in the absence of Jimmy O'Brien Both he and Larmour. If Henshaw, Ringrose and Keenan are fit, one of them will miss out. Henshaw’s HIA a curve ball. It sounds like R...
