Re: Men's Six Nations 2022
on a side note what's the story with Fintan O’Toole’s , I've read we don't know ourselves and blimey he loves a good moan! I’m not actually a fan but was blitzing through books during the first lockdowns and that happened to be lying around. That first lock down with no sport at all was brutal :( t...

Re: The Boxing Thread
That Conlan vs Wood fight was a classic, good to see there have been no long term ill effects
Hopefully we see a rematch

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens
We have been fully investigated and found guilty of breaking the rules, a decision has been applied and we fully accept it and will pay up, it seems changes have been made to correct the problem, I can't expect any more than that, now need concentrate on moving the side forwards on the pitch. Shock...

Re: Men's Six Nations 2022
I watched the game back on ITV. Lorenzo Bruno Nero Dallaglio used the word "Heroic" in reference to Engerland about a thousand times  He was in a Dunkirk frame of mind I suppose. Hopefully when the post-mortem to our shameful bonus point victory in Twickenham is over we can get on lo...

Re: Men's Six Nations 2022
I really fancy France at home vs this English side, especially if curry is out injured. The French have a solid scrum, some genuinely world class players behind, some top level coaches and a passionate home crowds England look really limited with ball in hand and I just don't see them scoring enough...

Re: United Rugby Championship
The boks sides are 4 from 4 last weekend, I would fancy the bulls sharks and stormers to all win again
Munster may get the win vs the lions, Edinburgh vs Glasgow same weekend as a Scotland 6 nations game seems a bit daft

Re: United Rugby Championship
They're Covid restricted to 2000 fans at the moment. And the MilStad last night was down to greed by the WRU - they decided to charge something like £115 per ticket for a Friday night game! WRU don't miss out as the tickets are distributed to the clubs who have to pay for them whether they sell the...

Re: Men's Six Nations 2022
Two stand out players for Ireland Keenan at 15 and Sheehan I thought they were both excellent, with JVDF just a step behind. Not sure went on at scrum time Ireland looked to be on top early doors then you get pinged at pretty much every other scrum, furlong have a stinker? or was the ref getting con...

Re: Ulster Away Rescheduled Round 9 Game Sat Mar 12 7:35pm Premier Sports & TG4
Watched the game after a few beers , was a hard fought match with both sides really getting stuck into each other I know the conditions were awful but I thought you could have gone wider a few times when you were attacking the ulster line, can't fault the effort and commitment on both sides but Lowr...

Re: Men's Six Nations 2022
Like everyone it seems I'd want Henderson (our best lock last year) Ryan and Beirne playing. POM has been very good so I've no problem with him playing, and Conan hasn't been great so no problem with him being dropped, but "marking" Itoje outside of the lineout, where Ryan took over defen...

Munster did well to come back from that first half, one of the most idiotic red cards of all time for du plesiss, what on earth was he thinking?

Re: Munster Rugby 2021/2022 - Search for the Holy Grail
The semi pro level in wales isn't great but I often enjoy the day more than I would regional game tbh In terms of the Irish set up so say you have a 19 /20 year old provincial back rower who was very promising but not as good as the back rowers in his province, would be play regularly in the top flig...

Re: Munster Rugby 2021/2022 - Search for the Holy Grail
where do the best young guys not playing in the Irish provinces get game time?
do they play in the semi pros? or do you have an inter provincial a side / age group round robin league set up?

Re: Munster Rugby 2021/2022 - Search for the Holy Grail
Will be interesting to see how Munster go for this , will they keep playing the free flowing rugby we saw vs the dragons or keep it tighter? DE Allende ,Farrell ,Zebo are all good enough to give any side problems with ball in hand. I suppose it will all boil down to how the forwards go, should be go...

Re: Men's Six Nations 2022
What's the mood confident? expectant? or unsure? Looking at the two teams , there are not English players you swop for your boys are there? I do think Curry and Itoje are special players and would want them in any team I would pick, Smith is a great talent but Sexton is still top class , Genge ,Lawe...

Re: Men's Six Nations 2022
Porter is a big miss he has been very impressive both in the tight and loose, POM will be fine he's good in the line out and good at the breakdown so maybe him and JDVF are being picked to take care of curry, POM won't carry as much as Conan but he won't let you down Personally I'd have put Beirne a...
