Re: Trends

Not really a trend, but a question: if Bielle Barry had been clipped/pushed by the Scottish No14 just after he chipped the ball, do you think France would have been awarded a penalty try? video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBvh2SsKwEo He is absolutely surrounded by Scottish defenders, but ends ...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

After the performance in France, the media (generalisation I know) were quick to say he played well but made mistakes. This week after the Italy game the media seem to be jumping in saying people (with a Leinster focus I assume) need to stop being so critical of him, when they were the first to pus...

Re: 6 Nations 2024

This round 2 was probably one of the worst rounds i've seen in a long time in terms of overall quality. None of the games were very entertaining (bar a TMO call in Murrayfield) and even Ireland were only in about third gear. The Saturday games were both awful in terms of skill level and entertainme...

Re: 6N: Ireland Italy - Dublin 3pm Sun 11 Feb 2024

The Molecast guys have often said that Farrell is about vibes, and having a good atmosphere in camp. I think for this reason, enforced or otherwise, Farrell will want to give everyone in the squad some game time during the 6N, and Italy at home is absolutely the game to do that. I'm pretty sure ever...

Re: A New Era 2023/24 season and beyond: Back Three

I think Ireland and Leinster should be focusing on Fullback. We've been extremely lucky with Keenan been so durable but we need a quality back-up. We have guys who can play there well but there is still a significant drop off from Hugo to the next player down. I'd consider JOB a quality back-up at ...

Re: Leinster's Communications Problem

Hopefully things don't take a turn for the worse, the head coach decides to cancel the project, then when things start to go well again he wants to restart it three months later but gets paranoid about some of the material filmed because of his new job and gets his previous employer to withdraw fin...

Re: 6 Nations 2024

I wonder will the IRFU give into Andy Farrell and continue pom on a central contract? Farrell's decisions haven't helped Munster in regards Healy, snyman, kylen so probably feels like this will help relations The Irish captain should on on a central contract. Seems a bit of a no-brainer to me to ren...

Probably a typo but Doris' contract runs till 2027 source

Re: 6 Nations 2024

Really hope Healy plays in at least 4 of the games, thus becoming Ireland's second most capped player (and overtaking ROG in the process). It's stunning that he's getting within reach of most capped player for Ireland (8 caps) and for Leinster (12). I wonder if he's the most capped (province plus c...

Looks like they weren't able to do a proper Captain's Captains' Rún today ag the pitch is under a protective covering.
Mind games...?

Re: Leicester v Leinster Sat 20th 3.15 TNT Sports

Molony simply isn't big enough to play at this level. You're ignoring how Jenkin's shear size in the heavy duty stuff, impacts on the workload of the rest of the forwards. molony has played many many times at this level and leinster have won most of those games. Except when they haven't and it's us...

Re: Leinster V Stade Francais, Dublin | Sat, 13 Jan 2024, 17:30

If nothing else, on a number of occasions the new defensive system seemed to work quite well, with Stade going through numerous series of phases, while continuously going backwards. Behind a paywall but Lowe was excellent for sure. Looked really fired up and hungry. He just adds so many options on ...

Maybe, just maybe, and this is a wild idea so hold on to your hats and strap yourselves in.... Are you ready... Hang on tight... ...Sheehan and Kelleher aren't very good at throwing the ball in. I'd agree that Kelleher has often been dodgy at lineout time, but Sheehan was more reliable. I remember ...
