Re: Back to back V Clermont
Anyway, great game. Thought we could have rumbled the fringes a bit more to tie them in but very proud of the performance. Wouldn't disagree that we should have done that but I think that 1) It might have just been because Clermont may not have expected us to go wide due to O'Malley and McFadden be...

Absolutely. He could have played Byrne and shifted people around or brought on Toner for Heaslip and moved Hines to 6 but he trusted his youngsters and it paid off.slum wrote:Fair play to Schmidt. We learned more about the depth of Irish rugby in 1 game than we did in the entire AI. roll on next week.

Re: Back to back V Clermont
HUDSOC, Think your a bit harsh on ISA, he was running at pace and the pass was head high, if it had been BOD maybe that flick would have hit Isa's middrift and we could be celebrating a fine win. Just tough luck, no ones fault! Thought the same thing and that he had a fine game overall. I haven't s...

Re: Sarries Statement - Venters gone home
Not sure if its still there but there was a comment under the video yesterday saying "a lady of the night will die at his hands tonight" There were also several references to rainman! Not exactly sure what he had to gain by acting like that, its very hard to believe that he's a quali...

Re: Back to back V Clermont
Absolutely heroic stuff! Thought we deserved to win. As Suisse said, Clermont looked like their minds weren't in the game at times and I'd expect them to be far more aggressive from the word go next week. That game will have taken so much out of us that I'm worried about replicating the performance ...

Re: Munster Thread 2010/2011
I feel sorry for Poc because if someone was hanging on to me thats exactly how I'd react. Having said that if he intentionally went for Thomas' jaw then that changes things but I do have sympathy and don't think it deserves more than a 2 week ban. Thought Tol was absolutely horrendous bar the chip t...

Re: The Injury List..
Have a look at the date of that post. Ah right, sorry! I was a bit confused when I saw it a week or two ago but there had been rumours (at least I thought so anyway) that he might be back so didn't question it. Thought by "fine" that you meant he'd only be out for a couple of weeks. Apolo...

Re: Back to back V Clermont
If anyone on here has contact with Isaac boss could you just say "Ah, ah no crabbing & no kicking!", thanks. I reckon the "crabbing" part is exactly why Boss was picked so that he'll have the forwards running off him, test them himself and keep it fairly tight. I'm not a fan...

Re: Would you give a bonus back?
My gut feeling is that I'd give it back and I've done something similar before. Where exactly would the money go to though? Depending on the answer to that question I might take it but give it to charity or something like that.

Re: Back to back V Clermont
Healy should be starting. His workrate throughout the AIs was absolutely incredible, and to get something out of this game we'll have to defend for our lives. I'm unsure as to who I'd have started. One thing I am sure of is that taking their bench into consideration I'd be happier with Healy coming...

Re: Schools Talent Drain to England
Oh my god are you being deliberately obtuse, there are two tournaments at Schools level one at 15's & one at 18's that cover the whole of the England (same as Leinster Junior & Senior Cups), yes there is no Inter County in Irish Rugby but the Interpro's are the same as the Divisional games....

Re: Back to back V Clermont
I don't see us winning without Bod and one of Luke/Rob but anything less than us getting a bonus point and denying them one would be a really bad result. They keys for me are our defence being as aggressive and solid as it was before the AIs, discipline being impeccable (I'm thinking mainly of Jenni...

This link explains it better than I could. The "hit the floor" version is the one I've heard more often.BlueArmyOriginal wrote:What's the Eddie Murphy-Michael Jordan / Will Smith-Shaq story?

Re: Schools Talent Drain to England
Don't know about plenty of tournaments,- I was referring to the 4 you mentioned yourself. I'd class those 4 as being plenty. It's fair to say that internally that the Dublin based media would have more output relating to the Leinster Schools Cups, and regional papers (Examiner/Belfast telegraph/ Ga...

Wonder when Pardew was actually lined up? To sack Hughton for him is very strange indeed.

Re: Munster Thread 2010/2011
I'm not so sure they'll be badly beaten up front Dan. A team of Du Preez, Varley, Buckley, Doc and MOD certainly wouldn't frighten me if I was an Ospreys fan. Had Byrne and Holah been available I'd have given the Ospreys a real chance in this game. As it is I think Munster will win but not by much.
