Re: Ulster 2023/24

Moving O'Toole to LH probably gives more gametime to Wilson which is not a bad thing but it makes the propping situation in Ulster fairly shallow. Is there any other bright young hope up there in the front row apart from Wilson?

by FtD That has also been allied with the well-publicised exodus that will occur at the end of the season, with Billy Burns likely to be followed out the door by the likes of Will Addison, Luke Marshall and Eric O’Sullivan Some big names leaving there. Marshall and Addision make sense with there in...

Jack Aungier has signed a new two year deal with Connacht, so he's not coming home anyway.
Makes sense. With Bealham getting on he's in pole position to be the no. 1 TH in Connacht.

Re: Ulster 2023/24

I would get rid of Bryn Cunningham as well and just have a clean sweep of it. A lot of the problems at Ulster seem to be from the top down so remove them all and start a fresh with a onus on player development.

Re: Ulster 2023/24

Supposedly Kitshoff is heading back to the Stormers at the end of the season. The upside is it looks like McCloskey is staying.

Re: Connacht 2023/24

The frustration is they could have played one another and called it an A game. I'm sure Murphy would have loved a pre-game where he could see what he was working with before his first URC game.

Re: Connacht 2023/24

by berliner I am mystified by the approach to Burke. While Buckley was injured, he stepped up and put in a lot of good performances. After that he had an injury and they've basically never used him again. We see very little of Jordan Duggan but Buckley and Dooley are being flogged. It strikes me as...

Re: Ulster 2023/24

Delighted to see Sheridan and Wilson in the Ulster team. Glad that Murphy has backed them and hopefully they shine in a rejuvenated team.

Can't believe Prendergast already has 12 caps. Good to see McKee back and hoping for a good game.

[edit] Excited to see Mangan too.

Re: IRB World Rankings

A part of me would love to see Spain in the world cup and another part of me is wondering how they would f*ck it up again.

Re: Rumour Mill

by ronk That would be a red flag. You don't want people like that in your dressing room. If he won't play hard in Oz he won't play hard for us. TBF his conditioning seems horrible and they are slowly bringing him back a chunk of minutes at a time. by artaneboy That’s not the choice though. It’s whe...

Re: Ulster 2023/24

Put this on a different thread as didn't know where to discuss it. We've had good success before with Healy playing at TH and Porter switching back and forth so it's not implausible. The problem they could have is Jager looks like he could be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Ulster...

Thought he were great. Was talking to a friend of mine and he mentioned that the foreign rugby press are a lot more complimentary of Crowley than our own press which seems true (at least around here). Silverware should always be celebrated. The team is in a state of change but still keeping high sta...

Scotland's summer tour is of the Americas, with Tests against USA, Canada, Chile and Uruguay. I wonder if this is beneficial getting such an easy ride? Kudos to them though for supporting some of the up and coming teams.

Re: 6 Nations 2024

We could technically win the Triple Crown after the first 3 games which would be odd. Not sure if that would help us or hinder us.
