Re: Netflix 6 Nations 2023 series

I enjoyed it for what it was. A slow starter but some interesting insights. One of which is that Gregor Townsend is a tool. Why would you announce your team with an animated slideshow. If I was a player I'd f%~k off. sh!t management. I've a few other 'issues' which I might vent later. Let's be hone...

Re: RDS redevelopment

My understanding was that the Angelsea stand would be out of commission for the whole season. Work to start after this year's horse show to be ready for next year's. A home game vs Zebre in front of an empty looking Aviva next season is going to be bad for optics. So what though. Exactly, oh no it ...

He actually recently said something correct which I don't remember what is was, due to the sheer horror of agreeing with the worst rugby pundit I know. Either a mistake on his part or you're both wrong in the same way. Ah I found it - it was on how an Anglo Welsh competition was a no go: https://tw...

Re: 6 Nations 2024

The difference is Henshaw is a competent 13 if Ringrose had to be moved to the wing - McCloskey isn't & we saw what happened when BA played there versus Italy. Re the Torygaph mentioning Hendo for the Lions in 18 months time - laughable - god even Stephen Jones is not that out of touch though I...

Andy Dunne: "Frawley should move somewhere where he will play 10 regularly." He should if we wants to give up on his international career. I had always assumed this were the case but always been too lazy to do the stats, but I just saw the following on Twitter, which confirms that moving ...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

I find it hard to understand the seemingly endless references to the next RWC and how the Six Nations squad should have been picked with this in mind. We've barely got over the last RWC and it seems to be non stop talk about the next one. We've four Six Nations titles we can win before then and a c...

Also I was sat behind Tom Youngs but he was there with his kids, so didn't bother him. Interesting to hear his takes on the game anyway. Even the pros get it wrong sometimes.

I thought we were in for it after the first 20, but the lads did great to come back, 27 unanswered points and holding out during the yellow card.

Anyone for a play?

Did you attempt the King Richard? That particular royal reference immediately brought the fabulous track, "Kings" from Steely Dan's debut album, "Can't Buy A Thrill" to mind: https://youtu.be/OKpP8_uKXDY?si=IQ2qSIP91hGeCWkF Funnily I immediately thought of the rhyming slang for ...

Munster fans are far more willing to pay to consume media that is positive towards their team. Leinster fans either refuse to pay for poor coverage, or are willing to pay regardless of balance of coverage.

Taking a road trip up from Northampton. My mum's first live rugby match that hasn't been one of my own, hopefully won't be put out by the cold.

Re: Lions Tour to Australia 2025

Reports around that Joe Schmidt is taking the Australian boss job.

He'd have his work cut out for him but given his skill set and how he was IMO at the heart of the coaching solution to knocking Ireland out of the WC I'm sure he'd do a good job.
