What? Murrayield is the full 70m wide, Firhill absolutely, unequivocally is not. Firhill is also only 92 meters long.

Cramped it most certainly is.

76m wide.

Must be the same taxi driver who said Luke's season is over and D'Arcy would never play again.

We'd of course have bloodgate to avenge too!

We won that game.
What exactly do we have to avenge?

Re: Glasgow v Leinster

Firhill is wider than both Murrayfield and Twickenham.
Cramped it certainly ain't.

We really had to grind that win out. Browne and Ruddock were perfect for thise last few minutes.
Great impact fron Boss - changed the game for us.

Re: Players In and Out

A handful of games doesn't count.
P.S. I'd be effin delighted if these guys start playing regularly but I fear the usual conservative team selections for the next few seasons unless something drastic happens.

The idea of sanctions must surely be a non-runner.
How can a body sanction a sub-section of itself?

Re: Players In and Out

You do realise that Ireland can choose players other than those playing in Leinster? Munster have a conveyor-belt of talent @ lock: POC/DOC/MOD/DRyan/Holland/Nagle/Foley...the latter two are Ireland's future pairing. Pretty slow moving conveyor belt though. when can we expect Nagle, Foley etc to ge...

Re: Change to NIQs

It is very unfair to effectively kick a player like Nacewa out of his home and make him leave the country with his wife and Irish children, he has given far more than he has taken from Leinster/Ireland. He dedicated himself to the province. That's slightly hysterical. He's a professional sportsman ...

It's as if an accent determines whether someone is a gouger or not.

My mum got a letter from Revenue the other day. Turns out she'd been over-paying tax on the pension so should now be getting a rebate! Regarding people not knowing about the liabilities, they still should shoulder a certain amount of blame for simply assuming the right amount of tax is bei...

Re: Me thinks they doth protest too much.

Funny. The government was terrified to touch the pensions but has now found an even better way of getting money out of them - taxing them! The beauty of it is that they have zero grounds for complaining about it and the government gets a load more cash. What is terrifying is how much money the gover...

Re: Cardiff V Leinster

Interesting team. In with a fighting chance of winning the game but we're away to what is, on paper, the strongest of the Welsh regions. They still have a relatively decent team despite all the injuries. Hopefully it'll be entertaining. Most of our games against them descend into an almighty arm-wre...

Re: Change to NIQs

That €9.3m received from the participation of the four provinces seems ridiculously low. Say that Leinster get average ticket sales of 15,000 across its 14 regular season games at an average ticket price of €20, that's €4.2m straightaway in gate receipts (15,000*€20*14). A similar average for Munst...

Re: Change to NIQs

I have to disagree on one point. They subsidise the provinces to an extent . The question is whether that subsidy is necessary these days or would the provinces, the big three at least, be capable of operating without it. The available evidence suggests that they would be (including taking internat...

Club verses country - club every time - and i'd have thought that the vast majortity of fans are just the same - a grand slam is nice of course, but HC victories with accompanying league success is what interests me. The by product of this for Ireland shoud be a stronger national side BECAUSE of th...

Re: Change to NIQs

The IRFU risk this turning into a re-run of the Ticket fiasco of last Season. The next week will see the first formal indication from the Leinster Clubs about take-up (and payment) for 6N tickets. If there is any lack of demand (even for Italy game) IRFU will have to start worrying about the wider ...
