Re: Leinster v Biarritz
You can't say they didn't care about the game because they have nothing else to play for in the season and they were over the moon when they won it last year. They were just really poor. My main problem is that they were filthy. They were starting fights at every single ruck from minute one in the ...

Re: Munster Thread 2012-2013
That's a bloody harsh call for forward pass, Nigel has not had a great game. He's actually been the difference between the two sides, ridiculous though that might have seemed as a proposition in the first 20 minutes. Clermont's utter bottling was not the behaviour of champions. Hope they lose in th...

Re: Munster Thread 2012-2013
poor play ultimately from TOD and good reffing from Nige to spot that from Parra That was an excellent decision but he's not doing Munster any major favours. He's had two or three very poor calls at the breakdown, including the one against POM which led to 3 points for Clermont. No way that ball wa...

Re: Munster Thread 2012-2013
I predicted they'd need something stupid from that thug to turn the game in their favour. It was a (not particularly powerful) stamp nowhere near the ball. Have seen yellow cards given for a lot less.tate wrote:ah well done cudmore, keeping munster in the game. how very sporting of you

Re: Leinster v Biarritz
This Biarritz performance is a disgrace to a club with a proud European tradition. Hope we put 60 on them. They haven't come here to play rugby; there has been lots of filthy stuff off the ball.

Re: Rumour Mill
Gents I have a plan in place.....I will know if BOD is captain before the announcement... Not that its very exciting but we might be able to get a few easy quid from Mr Paddy Power... My info will be late in the evening of the announcement or early the day of it... If he is then it is very exciting...

Re: Rumour Mill
Is that true? seems strange. I thought they would all be mailed or contacted the night before or something. Seems a bit... disconnected. Read a few places now that they'll find out "Live on Sky Sports" like the rest of us. Have no idea what the rationale is. They could bulk text the squad...

That market didn't exist last night, must only have been created today. B@lls, could potentially have made a good few quid.tate wrote:Madigan has dropped from 7/1 to 4/11 on PP apparently *to go on the lions tour

Re: Leinster v Biarritz
Have you got the order of the 10 - 12 right lads? Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to play Madigan at 10 and Sexton at 12, where he has significant game time at a very high level? Seems a huge risk to play Madigan at 12 when he has so little experience there. Unless someone gets injured between no...

Re: NFL
The big guys are the top prospects because a decent lineman or two can make all the difference to a teams offense. The Cardinals had Kolb and Skelton sacked about 3 times per game. Cutler for the Bears, Sanchez for the Jets or Newton for the Panthers would have had much more impact if they didn't s...

Re: Leinster v Biarritz
Obviously I've already said that I'd pick Madigan at 12 but it's funny how people go nuts when Kidney plays two tens at ten and twelve and then is happy with this from Joe. This is basically a once off decision which has been made primarily for Madigan's benefit. He needs to play this weekend, but ...

Re: Leinster v Biarritz
Interesting 10, 12 combo in store I would gather. Will be accommodating both of the lads with JS at 10. Someone walking through UCD earlier? :) This info is 100% accurate. I heard from an excellent source within the camp earlier today. It's an ingenious move by Schmidt in my view. Based on Gatland'...

Re: NFL
Difficult to get too excited about the draft in circumstances where the majority of the top prospects are behemoths rather than exciting QBs/RBs. Will be keeping an eye on it nonetheless. The Patriots need to big up some real talent and make clever signings if they're going to challenge again this s...

Re: Frightening
Honestly I think his punditry is absolutely dire and though he was a fantastically talented footballer who i loved watching, i'm not sure a out the technician point - his throwing was average to poor and he played so loose it was like Ireland had to play with a 7 man pack sometimes. One of the fine...

Re: Frightening
Keith Wood is one of the greatest Irish players of all time and isn't involved with any of the provinces at present. In my view, it seems like an entirely reasonable choice to include him. I'm amazed that he hasn't exhibited any real desire to get involved in coaching. While I don't think he'd be a...

Hmmm, obviously the thought of the personal kick-off between Farrell and Wilko hasn't ignited too much interest. http://www.espnscrum.com/heineken-cup-2012-13/rugby/story/181230.html Saracens face playing their Heineken Cup semi-final against Toulon this weekend in front of empty stands after it em...

Japan isnt a serious option , its mostly just thrown about to enchance their negotiating power. The article is about league players, but the foreign player rule still limits how many SANZAR players they can have on their books.
