Re: Autumn Internationals 2013
Training squad announced: http://www.irishrugby.ie/news/29721.php Had hoped that Joe would have the stones to leave Archer out in the face of Munster pressure. Good to see Niall Morris continuing to get recognition for his efforts with Leicester. Really think he could have a big season for them thi...

Re: Season Ticket Holder Pack
Does anyone know whether it will be possible to collect season ticket holder packs after today? I know in previous years it has been possible to collect them at subsequent home games and at the office in Donnybrook.

...and unbelievable hands for a winger. I've lost count of the number of passes around his ankles I've seen him pick up effortlessly, and often without breaking stride, this season.Peg Leg wrote:Zebo has great feet
Edit:- Just as I say that, Zebo throws the most outrageous offload of the tour so far!

Re: Canada v Ireland
Regarding POM, if he can calm himself down a bit at the flashpoints during a game, his leadership and versatility are such that he could have a great international career. At the end of the day, a series of pretty well-established coaches (Elwood, McGahan, Penney, Kiss) have viewed him as captaincy ...

Re: "Use it No. 9"
Boss was completely at fault for that last night. He knew he had 5 seconds and he took about 15. He wasn't even trying to dig the ball out or anything, just appealed to the referee for a needless penalty.simonokeeffe wrote:Boss got done last night

Re: Canada v Ireland
POM is definitely a hot-head, but he was worse than usual yesterday. Given that he was stamped on fairly early in the first half and his assailant escaped unpunished, it's somewhat understandable.

Re: Canada v Ireland
Spotted that we were only -10.0 on the handicap earlier at even money, so lashed a decent chunk of cash on it. Remind me never to bet on Ireland to beat a handicap again. I know they've achieved it, but this has been incredibly stressful!

Re: Canada v Ireland
C'mon, the hooker has to be gone. That fat little turd doesn't seem to play any role on their team apart from starting fights. The referee has been unbelievably lenient towards them - they should have finished that half with 13 men. I just hope he remembers all these infringements in the second hal...

Re: Canada v Ireland
Should have been a straight red there for the Canadian scrum-half, for a clear stamp on a prone POM. Your man Leighton Baines, or whatever his name is, likes to sound authoritative but doesn't really seem to take games under control.

Re: Baa Baas V HSBC Lions
Baa baas beat us in Limerick in 2010 in June I think so they do get the odd end of season win. They do of course, but their wins at that stage of the season tend to occur in dour affairs against tired 6N sides, who are often missing many of their key players. I certainly can't recall anything even ...

Re: Baa Baas V HSBC Lions
Can't really take anything from that game. The BaBas in the professional era is becoming a bit of a joke. Should have played a Pacific Isles selection. Might have given them some sort of game. The Barbarians need to take a serious look at the value of the summer games. They haven't had many big win...

Re: Wheelchair Tickets - Pro12 Final
Get in touch with the OLSC and ask them to make enquiries on your behalf. It's a complete farce that provision hasn't been made to ensure that all wheelchair users who hold season tickets have a spot at the final. It takes serious loyalty to sit out front in the depths of winter getting soaked, whil...

Re: Vern cotter to be Scotland coach?
Joe has had far too much success to play second fiddle to anyone ever again in his career. Both he and Cotter are top class head coaches in their own right.

Re: A new approach to touting.
What about printing names on tickets? Have to use id with your ticket. Can only change the name at leinster or tm offices. Making it much harder to trade tickets. This idea has been mooted on many occasions and, while it might work in theory, it's useless in practical terms. The main reason is that...

Try and an assist from Niall Morris today who has become first choice in Leicester team (unless Hamilton injured) Give him a wolfhounds cap next year before Saxons come calling To hell with next year. He's done enough to deserve a spot on the tour to the States. 12 tries in 34 starts for a team who...

Re: A new approach to touting.
The sale of tickets for more than face value isn't ideal and, in a perfect world, wouldn't happen at all. I have to say, however, that I don't understand the sheer revulsion and opprobrium that the very suggestion of "touting" seems to provoke among some fans. Moral comparisons to drug-dea...

I'm a fan of Marshall but he's a hopeless tackler. Directly at fault for the try and had another shocking effort there.

How did he award that try.. No sign of the ball being grounded Because he asked 'was there any reason he should not award the try?' Have no sound on the tv so don't know what was asked  He actually said "try, yes or no?" which meant it was the wrong decision. It was the wrong...

The bad spirit in which this game has been played won't be helped by Jake Ball's introduction. He should be in prison after what he did to Niall Ronan.

Re: Pro 12 Semi-Final: Leinster vs Glasgow
Jonny to start this week, Mad Dog to start the following week! Yeah, I'm with you on this one. I'm so sick of the near misses in the league that I don't want to take any chances with it, although playing Madigan isn't exactly a big risk anymore. The Stade Francais game should be a more open affair ...
