Re: Good press.
Wait for it I can easily see: Vickery - "we need leadership" Shaw - we need experience Rees - we need to win the loose ball Haskell - we need dynamism and pace With Haskell, its more like we need someone for the disiplinary hearings. someone to get our team off and someone to get the othe...

Re: Good press.
The Magners League has had so much bad press over the years, I for one am enjoying the "bounce" in coverage in the English press. Even if it has swung too far in the other direction. I fully expect the penduleum to swing back fully in the other direction very soon

Re: Our cup rivals
I used to work in Marlow and enter back on the M40 at the High Wycombe roundabout to get back to London. Given the inaccessability of Adams Park to anyone outside of High Wycombe, they were lucky they got anyone to turn up at all.

S&B, I'm not trying to have a go at either Rocky or indeed you. If he is down, depressed, tired or stressed then the management would deal with that appropriately (as indeed would any employer). I'm just questioning the assumption that he is any of those things.

Re: Squad for Connacht Named
The guy was bollixed with 25 mins to go. One of the most intense games he's likely to have played in from a defensive line point of view and he'll still have been shaking off jetlag, stress of getting settled into a new country, new gaff, new teammates, new moves, new lineout calls, new coaches, ne...

Re: Squad for Connacht Named
They should start Chris Keane, Fogerth, Keogh & O Brien... Keane & Fogerty played there for years and would loved to get a crack at them and i'm sure he'll know how to handle them, I think Rocky should go to the pub for the weekend and relax, he was wrecked against Munster and couldn't hack...

I didn't mind about people getting up and going for beer, chips or a p*ss. But please save me from the twits going up and down selling Ice cream, holding conversations in my line of sight and then trying to work out the right change.

Re: Rocky and CJ start against Munster!
Great to see Sexton get the opportunity. Not quite a make or break for his season but nearly.
Very surprising to see Ronnie in the team.

Re: Leinster squad to face Munster.
Why do people keep picking Kearney on the right? He's a left footer. Even any time himself and Fitzgerald have been on the wings he's been left and Fitzgerald on the right. Great squad. My team 1. Stan 2. Jackman 3. CJ (target horan) 4. Cullen 5. O'Kelly 6. Rocky 7. Jennings 8. Heaslip 9. Whitaker ...

Question
Does anyone know what flight the team are travelling on? I was on the same flight as the team over and back to Edinburgh 2 years ago and it was a very relaxed way to say hello to the team (not so relaxed on the way back). I have my nipper with me this year, travelling on Friday on the Ryan Air 15:25...

Re: Munster 22 to face Leinster.
Cardiff were putting up some excellent garryowens too. Every time Hurley was under a ball he was challenged by a Cardiff player and Barry Murphy ran into him for another. Happy to see Howlett, Dowling and Earls as a back 3. Dowling is very underestimated by some people. Where’s Ronan? Much better t...

Re: Munster 22 to face Leinster.
[quote="Exile He actually is good under the high ball. I reckon he was concussed on Saturday night and the mistake was not taking him off immediately. As a Leinster supporter I'm much happier with a Earls-Howlett-Dowling back three than a Howlett-Hurley-Earls combination[/quote] If he'd only do...

Re: North Stand
I remember a game in Donnybrook against Swansea (I think) about 6 years ago where one of the away supporters kept shouting "C'mon Swansea" very loudly (during normal play). The reaction from the crowd was...tut tut tut...and.... Ssssssssshhhhhhhhh!. Despite many of the problems listed here...

I sit in a group of 8 Season Ticket Holders (not in the NS) with 2 other groups of family tickets nearby. Thats approximately 16 people in all. The group contains the full spectrum from No Shows to Turn Up to discuss the week at work to keen supporters. Some show up later, leave early and go and buy...

Re: Keeping an eye on Wasps
Claire, I'd have very similar views. There were obviously extentious circumstances (ie Vickery was getting the head beat off him), but the thing I can't get my head around if the lower entry point for the offence is judged to be 4 weeks how do you just decide to divide by 4.

Re: Keeping an eye on Wasps
Quelle Surprise, a headbut and a follow up punch get you 1 week ban. Its a good job the panel reminded themselves of the recent IRB directive otherwise he might have only been banned for an afternoon September 23, 2008 Richard Birkett of London Wasps has been reprimanded and warned following his ci...

Re: ML Eve / Night games Question
Yeah, but Sky have both the rugby and soccer premierships and they play games on Saturday afternoon don't they? Greedy and disrespectful of Setanta I think. Sky never show soccer live on a Saturday afternoon, and the GP game is often on a Sunday. I don't know how you can call them greedy or dispres...
