Re: 6 Nations 2021
No doubt Ireland would have done better with 15 players on the field, but that is not the sole reason why Ireland lost this game. Ireland made some really silly decisions and errors which also contributed to this loss. Additionally, when you say your flanker, does this mean that you are not Irish, ...

Can't believe Conan made 79 metres? Feel like I need a rewatch because that's pretty incredible.

Re: 6 Nations 2021
Very interesting squad. From a Munster perspective it is great to have Casey recognised and selected, but at the same time it is a shame that he will likely be holding tackle bags when he would have been starting games for Munster. Shame that Coombes didn’t make it, but his time will come. Great to...

Lads did we manage to get into the air while chasing a box kick once in that game? I didn’t see it if we did. We need to be competitive in the air. Great set piece try and great game from Henshaw.

Annoying because it’s the best he’s been in open play for ages. Nothing can make up for 5 knock one though

Why do our chasers never actually jump and compete? Henshaw excluded that is.

Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
Don't really like the 6:2 bench split we've been persisting with. It's already hurt us in a few games, and especially when we don't have flexible bench options. Nice to see Ringrose back, but I'm very surprised Dooley didn't make the squad at all. Feeling a bit nervous, this feels like the least fai...

I’d disagree too. It’s the only paper I ever buy (not daily) and a lot of my friends would be the same, or at least it’s the only Irish paper that they’d read online. That and the guardian are pretty much the only papers/websites we all read. I realise this is very small example but even at the bar...

Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
Lads I haven't weighed in on this yet because I still kind of think it's a joke, but why is Ross starting at 13? It's such an incredibly weird decision, can anyone fathom some logic behind it? I was in this boat, but he was tidy enough when he was shallow enough to be in frame. Tidy break, deft kic...

Re: Leinster v Connacht Sat 2nd 19.35 Eir Sport
The shocker for me was the fact, that faced with super aggressive Connacht D and linespeed, which were putting us under massive pressure, we just didn't batten down the hatches, weather the storm, play territory via kicks to touch and let the opposition blow themselves out. No instead we repeatedly...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
Penny is a solid 5'11"/6'0". Opensides don't actually need to be 6'2". George Smith, Michael Hooper and Heinrich Brussouw are 5'11", Phil Waugh is 5'9", and David Pocock is variously listed as 6'0" or 6'1". All of those guys were world class in their position at t...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
I think Penny has the potential to be world class as an openside. I don't think any of our other back-row prospects (as good as they are) have the potential to be world class, which I would define as mounting a credible challenge to inclusion in a World XV. It sounds odd but I would prefer to lose ...

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM
On a more positive note, I thought Ryan was looking more like his old self in the loose that game. A couple of very dominant tackles and big charges on the ball. Baird outshone him with his athleticism but I thought the pair of them contrasted well.

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM
Keep hearing how great the Ireland second row will be when it comprises James Ryan and Ryan Baird but on recent evidence they can't even provide a reliable line out for Leinster. I agree, add that to the performance of essentially the Ireland front and second row at scrumtime... The scrum which was...
