Somebody here where I work just told me that FF are thinking of calling the new Dublin Port Tunnel the Charles Haughey Tunnel (along the same lines as the Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork). I've heard this from a few different sources, I really hope it doesn't happen though. FF don't control the council s...

The tantie Mickelson threw on 18 was pretty impressive. What a lucky bastid though, lands in a bin on 17, and gets a handy free drop, then hits the corporate tent on 18 and the ball kicks back 60 yards back in bounds! Mickleson got breaks with trampled down rough all day - he drove the ball like me...

Our centres and no8 all look like the complete package for their position. But I dont think any other player in the team, even the 2nd rows, can say that. O'Connell looks uncomfortable handling the ball in open field, and O'Callaghan again gave up 2 completely unnecessary penalties. He's a discipli...

So it's bye-bye Poland as they take the early bus back to Warsaw (probably) Looks like it UM. If it remains this way it sets up the Germany v Ecuador tie quite beautifully though. England, for one, will be more than interested. :) I think that England would quite like to play Ecuador :D Typical of ...

He made that point where now? I must have missed something The Thornley interview illustrated the self-importance that this shower attach to themselves. They want daily access to the players, access to training etc. etc. as if they are the voice of the people. The Irish team are there to win a test...

Eve, as a Blanchie you can not be too far from Coolmine. They seem (from the outside) like a decent crew and I'm sure would welcome someone who obviously has a great interest (and dare I say , knowledge) of the game. As for club v's province, rugby clubs are sprining up all over the place near wher...

Re: Potential Temporary Home For Leinster
Hugo Boss just delivered his campus plan presentation for UCD. Here's the link: http://www.ucd.ie/presentation/development_plan/june_2006.pdf See slide 21 - they're moving UCD rugby to the current home of UCD soccer, the Belfied Bowl (just off Foster's Avenue, on the best bus corridor in the city) ...

I'd imagine with a bigger stadium, all clubs should be getting more tickets, right? Like about 50% extra, given that Croker holds 80k to Lansdowne's 49k? I wouldn't be happy to be paying the same €80 for a seat at the back of the upper tier of one of the stands when someone else is paying the same ...
