Re: Healy to be Cited?

I watched it on Setanta to avoid the whole circus, which is now trying to be a bigger draw than the match itself. RTE World cup coverage is geared for the passing sports viewer with the panto of George. Sometimes the other panel memebers (esp Conor O'Shea) start making interesting points and observ...

Re: Healy to be Cited?

George hook will be delighted - see comments posted in the Ireland v Italy thread. Hook is just beyond pathetic at this stage. Watched the game in the pub yesterday but left immediately afterwards so as not to be exposed to his twisted horseshit. Didn't you hear Donny? It's all about George Hook. T...

Re: 2011 / 2012 Leinster Jersey?

We haven't had a decent jersey since before we won a Heineken Cup. Seconded! As a result I haven't bought a Leinster jersay since before... Chyt. Just caught myself reading a clothing thread. Doh!! Can youse lads not go off to the "off the rails" forum and bang up 24 pages about clothes o...

Re: ROG or Jonny?

Jim, you have a very short memory. ROG has had to come on and try and rescue a few games in the not too distant past. Examples? England in Twickenham, Scotland here and against Italy in Rome, all ireland could come up with Sexton as OH is an O'Driscoll try and a penalty in the 65 minutes he was on ...

Re: ROG or Jonny?

i really don't get this talking up sexton's running game thing, or that he gets the backline running better? When? Many posters that will say the england game, which i agree with, after that i am stumped. I would love to see a tries per minute that ireland have scored with each player to back this ...

Re: ROG or Jonny?

Heislip has been poor (by his standards). ....... Jennings just isn't international standard Are you implying that despite sitting behind a totally dominant pack, it was Jennings and Heaslip who conspired to ruin Murrays performance against the US? Seriously, is that your point? Hey, I never said t...

Re: ROG or Jonny?

Very hard for a SH to do anything when your own backrow does nothing to protect you. Stop, just stop. He had an armchair ride behind a totally dominant pack. You cant seriously be looking to pawn off responsibility on the two loose forwards? Even for you thats pathetic. Heislip has been poor (by hi...

I know, but it's a bit like "car crash" journalism, sometimes it's hard not to have a peep and see what rubbish he comes out with.

Re: ROG or Jonny?

I think a simpler way of looking at the poll question is- Can Ireland win the WC with ROG or SEXTON in the OH jersey. The answer for me is SEXTON. ROG can only get us so far - SEXTON can get us all the way The logic is simple - Sexton has all the skills including normally good place kicking and is ...

Re: Ireland V Italy

I'm going with the "he gives people a warm fuzzy feeling option". On actual performance Murray shouldn't make the bench of a squad currently. Next year. I see that Muppet Farrelly in the Indo has him and ROG starting as well. Amazing how Ireland's rugby media can never seem to figure out ...

Re: Ireland V Italy

So Mallet has come out and claimed that the Italian's have the better front row, hmm ask yourself in meaningful games who has looked better in the loose Castro or Healy? Because to me it looks like everytime they've come up against each other in international or HEC test that Healy has out performe...

Re: Ireland V Italy

Italy just beat the USA 27-10 but got the 4 try BP. The 4th try was a pen try when the US were down to 14 I believe.
