Wouldn’t be surprised seeing him move to Ulster considering his Dad will be the coach. He’ll also get more game time at Ulster.

Re: Schools Rugby 23/24
On the evidence of the games played to date, CBC and Gerard's (and perhaps Wesley) have become significantly detached from the levels of the other "top" Schools. On the plus side, other results suggest that the rest are bunching .... leading to a stronger competition overall Clongowes los...

Re: Schools Rugby 23/24
Zaga favourites. 6 back from last year. Very experienced. Good brand of rugby. Having got over the line they know they can do it. Why would rock and Michael’s be ahead of them? They both have a stronger pack and Zaga conceded 33 points to Belvedere in a game they should’ve lost had Belvedere not ki...

Re: Schools Rugby 23/24
Hopefully one of the cognoscenti can tell me. Is it a long standing tradition for Blackrock to wear completely black boots? Noticed this last year as well. No logos, no flashy stripes, just black. Happened ever since they lost the final in 2017. It was due to discipline they didn’t want any players...

Re: Schools Rugby 23/24
its rock cup to lose Gonzaga are due a bit more respect as the reigning champions who yesterday showed the sort of guts they drew on last year to beat a similarly much more powerful Rock side. So its Gonzaga's to lose in my view. They have real belief and integrity and have contested the last 3 fin...

Re: Schools Rugby 23/24
Can’t understand why Belvedere would kick it back to Zaga with 80 seconds remaining. Usually I would back that decision but they’ve conceded 27 points and missing tackles all day and they decide to kick it back to them? Very poor decision. Great game

Great to hear about R Moloney. Be interesting to see if he gets a call up to the u20 6 Nations. I’d rate him ahead of Ben O’ Connor

Re: Leinster Academy 23-24
Sparrow rumoured to be out for the 6 nations with his injury. Thanks to the referee delaying the decision to give him the penalty. It’s the referee’s fault. We need to cut that out of the game when a player clearly has poach and the referee is staring at the ruck for ages not awarding the penalty. ...

Re: Irish U20s 2024
If the ref gave Sparrow that penalty for the poach instead of trying to delay it for as long as possible he wouldn’t have got injured. I hate when refs do that it’s dangerous and puts the player at risk of injury. Really disappointing seeing refs do that

Re: Schools Rugby 23/24
With Newbridge gone I’d really hope that Rock,Michaels and Zaga all avoid each other in the next round. Most people love to see underdog smaller teams make it to the final in any sport but I have to say it’s infuriating to me when teams make it that far when they’re not really deserving of it. In 2...

David Walsh. He scored a hat trick and seems to have put on a lot of size since last year
