Re: Leinster vs Ospreys 4 Nov 2012 **Team Pg3**
I hate saying this because I think Joe is nearly infallible (Sykes) but Leo is not a professional quality player. I never saw him play at AIL level but I can see how he would shine there against lads who hold down day jobs. I just can not see what he offers. To give Leo his due it was the standard ...

Re: Leinster vs Ospreys 4 Nov 2012 **Team Pg3**
We're now down to 6th in the league on 22 points. We're only a point behind fourth place but already 7 points behind 2nd place. Given the way we've played away from home so far, it's hard to see this team come away from Glasgow with a win which means we really will be playing catch-up for the rest o...

Re: Leinster vs Ospreys 4 Nov 2012 **Team Pg3**
Just to take one aspect to contrast the difference between the first choice and the next level. Compare the control we showed at the base of the scrum against the Scarlets and for the pushover try last week with the game today. We should have forced kickable penalties and a pushover try today. I rea...

Re: Leinster vs Ospreys 4 Nov 2012 **Team Pg3**
Leo has to take a lot of blame for that, but he's not alone. Carr was his usual self, toner has to be the most lazy forward in the league, jennings looked completely off the pace and ruddock is under powered. But some great positives, dave k looked very good, boss was class, hagan may well have tur...

The temperature. It's f%~king baltic. It's about 5 degrees. That's nice and mild for November. You are living in the wrong country Dan. :) 5 degrees is a few degrees below average for daytime in November in Dublin. Average is much closer to 10 deg celsius. Anyway with the current system coming down...

Morgan can be a weak link in defence for the Ospreys so it'll be interesting to see where they place him on set plays. If he stays in the 10 channel, then we should be launching the likes of Leo at him as often as possible.

Re: Ireland Thread 2012-13
Who has Heaslip captained against? Can it be said that his captaincy made a definitive difference to the outcome of games? I mean, have Leinster beaten anyone you wouldn't expect them to, under his leadership? Aside from the fact that we're expected to beat pretty much everyone we play, here are 10...

The Ospreys replacement hooker has been playing as an openside forward all season, so at least we're even there.

Would love to see Heaslip made captain just to see the explosion of bile from south of the Mason-Dixon line.

Re: New Irish Alternative Jersey
Interestingly Jamie Heaslip has tweeted a comment about it being a once off and Ultimate Rugby also mentioned that it was a once off for the RSA game!! South Africa are the only team we'd ever have a legitimate reason to wear it against, so if we're not playing them at home for a few seasons, it is...

Joe Brolly could do with an extra one....fourthirtythree wrote:Sorry, I normally reserve my spleen for him, today I was concentrating my bile.
Means nothing. Just word substitution.
And good idea Cormac, perhaps Ireland should donate a kidney. Somewhere. Anywhere.

Re: Michael Bent- Irish Q'd
If kidney isn't searching the world for players, what does he do for 250 days of the year? Seriously, if he is being paid for results, he's not getting them. If he is being paid for his time, then it's a valid question I too was wondering whose job it was to find players for Ireland. Obviously if G...

Not at the moment, but you can register a further two players (one has to be a front row) during the group stages as long as they replace players already in the squad.cwebber82 wrote:Are Bent and Goodman registered for the HC group games?

http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/sport/2012/1029/1224325867622.html What's Wasterson's error this week? Can't spot anything obvious in this one, but in his match preview, he made some comment about having to think hard about the last time Leinster fielded an all Irish starting XV. Apart fr...

Is there any reason why all the games so far have been in Limerick or is it just the way the games have fallen?munster#1 wrote:Yes around that, and not surprising. It was basically the munster reserves against the worst team in the league. Hardly a game to draw a crowd

Re: Leinster vs Ospreys 4 Nov 2012
Is Dundon fit I wonder? Annoying to be missing both Strauss and Cronin for the camp with a match coming up especially when, barring an injury to Best, only one of them will be involved against SA. Best went off injured against the Dragons on Friday night. Wasn't aware of that. He hasn't been...
