Re: Bath v Leinster Sat 3.15 BT Sports

Much as I admire James Ryan & I suppose you have to pick MOTM from the winning team ... best player on the pitch today was Bath # 7 Agree totally. Underhill was my MOTM. It was enraging to see Leinster falling into his trap repeatedly. That was a seriously underwhelming performance by the Europ...

I was surprised he stayed on rather than Leavy. We could do with two 7s

Re: In Andy we trust.

It’s a big show of faith to let his first head coach job be our biggest job, but you’d have to think that some smart people, including Joe, have given it their imprimatur. And he’s showing faith in himself too, going on stsge right after Streisand! But honestly I cant think of one reason to suppose ...

Re: The Ireland 23 for RWC

On the locks, are Beirne and Henderson a little similar? I think there’s an argument for bringing a tighthead lock in the mould of Kleyn or Roux. I’m not saying it’s necessarily a persuasive argument! But *if* all goes to plan we’ll find ourselves facing Etzebeth and Snyman. That’s a lot of grunt Se...

I had a horrific vision watching the Ospreys game last night;

Imagine watching James Lowe scoring tries for Joe Schmidt’s New Zealand team against us. i actually think Id cry.

Re: Ireland 2018/2019

Whitelock could have seen yellow too with the knockdown or for a cynical hold when already on penalty advantage in the first half. That, plus the fact Barnes stopped refereeing Savea at the breakdown for a good bit just prior to Kearney incident probably saved Kearney, because he should’ve walked o...

Re: RWC 2019 Draw

So a year out and Scotland are stronger than they've been since 1990, the Japanese are progressing (and will be at home obviously) and when you look to the quarter finals SA are improving rapidly under Erasmus and NZ might be better than ever. This draw is looking pretty unfavourable, to me anyway ...

Re: New Kit 18/19 Season - Adidas

Why not just make the jersey with no stars then either add three or four at a later point depending on how the Heineken Cup finished up? Presumably there is a production lead in time. They took and gamble and backed the wrong horse. Shows how little faith they have in Leinster! Sent from my iPhone ...

Re: 18/19 Fixtures

Guessing that was before the Commonwealth Games and the redevelopment of the area? Went to Ibrox for the sevens at the CGs. If that's what redevelopment looks like I would have hated to see the area before! Could be completely different for Celtic Park obviously - I've never been out that way. Noth...

Slightly tenuous this but if you saw Conor Nash play you'd know he was/is a serious prospect

Re: Summer tour to Australia

I mentioned it live here during the game that Phil Kearns had made a "potato" joke on Aussie TV. Seems like that was picked up and RugbyPass have a video about it. I really don't care what Kearns thinks but it is interesting how incidents like this are viewed. If Kearns made a similar jok...

Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!

I've faith in Cullen (and Lancaster to whatever degree) to make the right appointment but I'm not as euphoric as the rest of yis. This feels like a huge personality being introduced, a very different one to Girvan Dempsey. It's a big change to a winning formula. I fear such changes! Sent from my iPh...

Summer tour to Australia

There was a side view of the O'Mahony incident that showed it quite clearly. His momentum was straight up until Folau tugged him backwards which caused him to flip over. There was nothing Stander could do. If Folau had had both his hands raised to collect the ball it couldn't have happened. It was f...

Re: Summer tour to Australia

Brilliant defensive effort, feel we got the rub of the calls mind. Folau incident not even a penalty for me and should have been penalty the other way round near the end. Then again maybe could have had penalty try for Murray going for the post. Are you serious? Penalty try not given when an offsid...
