Re: United Rugby Championship

That's some run in. The days of the double are gone. Edit added Rd 16 HCC. Thats some end to the season. Also the interpros are over by December. "The days of the double are gone"? Ná bí mar sin, John. J10's last season. A home final in the Heino to aim for. Confidence and belief in the &...

Re: New CEO - Shane Nolan

Well said wixfjord. I for one am delighted to see that this appointment is one that technically is coming from outside Dublin and more representative of the 12 counties approach. Being part of Navan RFC he would have a great appreciation for the diversity that the game has with under age, womens rug...

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

An interesting possible future thought is how - if Frawley makes a big push for the bench OH spot - the centre out of Aki/Robbie/Ringer that misses out may not make the bench anymore. That should really up the competition between the three of them (and Hume/Stu) if they want to make a gameday squad...

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

What a performance. Think Barnes in the whistle had a great game and made the right decision as per the rules on the card. Previous years we would have folded when ABs got their back up but the team kept to their game plan and believed. Has to be the greatest irish achievement on the international ...

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

Win tainted by not blooding enough young players? That’s why playing the MABs was such a master stroke. They are a tier 1 team and have their own savage record vs international teams. This tour has been a roaring success at all levels. We may have finally a front runner for J10 spot in frawley afte...

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

Jesus I’m really confused about some of the selections for the first test following the Māori match. How in gods name has treadwell got on the bench after his performance (still am baffled how he got on the plane seen as he is not even first choice in ulster and the likes of molony was left behind)....

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

Actually think this will be a good wake up call for the irish squad ahead of the test match. If ewe think we can tackle the ABs into submission we will be given a hiding.

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

Don’t agree with the JOB criticism. He probably has been told to kick long and in fairness did a spectacular tackle at then end of the 1st half only for no support player to do likewise

Re: Tour to NZ 2022

At half time my first thought is that Loughman should not be on the field. He had to be helped of it and that should be the sign that is day is over. Second thought is that this is very poor from Ireland. So many issues across the board, not least is discipline. Some awful penalties conceded. It's ...

Joe is one of my dark horses to actually make it onto the test team this tour.

Re: Sexton's last season? Outhalf going forward..

Frawley at 10 for Ireland. Glad to see it. Looks like the best option there. Frustrating Leinster don’t think so. Hopefully not another Carbery situation. Far as I know he's only playing 10 tomorrow because of an Injury to Harry so I wouldn't get my hopes up. In reality I think it would have made m...

Re: Leinster Squad 21-22

I think we should acknowledge Nick McCarthy coming out because it's obviously a big deal for him and I'm sure he'll be acutely aware of the reaction to it so it'd be good to show him some support. Huge respect to him for doing it and it's great to hear that he feels happier in himself now :happy cl...

wixfjord wrote: June 17th, 2022, 9:09 am That's a very interesting and mature (and possible risky) move!

I'd hope we're keeping an eye on him given our struggles at 9.
Could Leinster have possibly already been in contact with him. Maybe our new backs coach is already on the ball
