Re: "That Song"
@oldschoolsocks This thread reads like a bad parody of a FG forum? It does. - does it? really though? feels like this well is being well and truly poisoned Well yeah, it really does. Waterford Whispers couldn't have done a better "Leinster da" parody. A lot of Leinster players listen to t...

Re: "That Song"
The most elite club in the country, Lansdowne, charges €150. My club is €100. Gum shield €30? Meet me at the next game and I'll sell you one for €25 (That I bought for €10) Most clubs provide jerseys. So I call bullshit on your numbers. 1 Lansdowne are very much the outlier there and they charge €1...

Re: "That Song"
The majority of C2, D, and E voters in Ireland vote for Fianna Fail. The increase in Sinn Fein support in recent years has come from C1s, who traditionally vote Fine Gael. The idea that there is some kind of monolithic 'working-class' support for the Wolfe Tones (or anything really) is really ridic...

Re: "That Song"
Cop yourselves on a bit lads. I think the dismissal of Swing low as just a "Dick Joke" just shows how uneducated some people here are on the subject yet they expect whoever hit play on a spotify playlist to be sacked, or the classification of the Wolfe Tones as sectarian, You realise they...

Re: "That Song"
Lads this thread reads like a bad parody of a Fine Gael forum... If people ever ask why rugby in Ireland isn't more popular in more working class areas I'm just going to point them towards here. Shinners are this, Sack the DJ, Celtic FC is that, the Wolfe Tones are that, Players don't get opinions t...

Re: Leinster Academy 22-23
Technically no but every club does it, especially Terenure, due to Terenure having good connections they even go to length of offering players good high paying jobs Sorry but I'm not sure how dialed into the AIL people here are but the idea that "especially Terenure" are paying players is...

Re: Leinster Squad 22-23
The majority of the Leinster squad played 2/3 seasons in the AIL at some point so the answer is it does a good job. That's a logical fallacy. You're mistaking correlation for causation. Just because guys at the start of the careers have played a bit in the AIL doesn't mean it does a good job at all...

Re: Leinster Squad 22-23
I'm not sure how the ability of the AIL to bring players Leinster have missed to Leinster level has any relevance to its suitability to nurture academy players? There can be up to 30 players in the sub academy each year, and 9 Leinster teams in the top 2 AIL divisions. The odds of a player being mis...

Re: Supporters First - Replacing The Scourge of Stadium Announcers
This probably isn't going to make me any friends but the problems with atmosphere at Leinster, and Ireland for that matter, games aren't really anything existing fans can fix. I'm going to speak in general terms btw so there will obviously be exceptions but in general its accurate. In general the pe...

Re: Leinster Academy 20-21
I think it's fairly well established that the squad size and balance Leinster have is pretty spot on. Though it remains to be seen how the URC changes that. Therefore I propose a rule, you cannot moan about Leinster passing on a player without naming the player they should be in instead of, and if y...

Re: Leinster Academy 20-21
I have no opinion on whether these peeps are good at their job or not, I’d be more interested in what systems/methods are being programmed and how they map to other similar sports. Search S&C and you'll probably find it then. But all you'll find is "bUt wE geT So MaNy InJUriEs" backed...

Re: Leinster Academy 20-21
Fairy nuff, you see no value in a discussion on a perfectly valid topic. Understood... I see no value in discussing the same topic over and over when nobody has anything new to add and one side are trying to say people are bad at their job with absolutely no evidence to back that up. Which is actua...

Re: Leinster Academy 20-21
I don’t think I’ve commented on this before but as this is such a collision driven sport and S&C is a huge part in preparation for the physical tolls taxing the players bodies I think it’s perfectly valid to discuss. I know nothing of the S&C setup, but from various conversations with retir...

Re: Leinster Academy 20-21
Can we just skip the whole "we need to look at what our S&C staff are doing to cause all these injuries" bull this time? Lost track of how many times on here (the same) posters have attempted to lay the blame for injuries at the feet of our S&C staff, who are some of the best in th...

Re: Leinster A '20-21'
Lads I don't know what yous were expecting. It's a barebones team of 19/20 year olds thrown together based on who's not injured a couple days before the game. Hardly going to be a well oiled machine. Players at that stage are inconsistent at the best of times and if they're not they're a generationa...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
It's an issue that players like Mick Kearney and Ian Nagle were given game time over a player as talented as Beirne. It can't be as easy as to say 'ah well if Beirne had stayed at leinster he wouldn't have reached his current level', surely that's a major issue for the leinster development pathway ...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
he was healthy in his final season for leinster, but was released anyway after a few appearances.. it's a mitigating factor but given he has turned into a lions level player you'd hope leinster will have learned a few lessons from that given he was released while squad players like Mick Kearney and...
