Re: Rumour Mill
There's quite a difference between querying whether it would be the worst thing and saying that it would be a good thing. I wouldn't like him to go and doubt he will but I'd be disappointed to see Conan leave and it'd be understandable if he chose to do so. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the wor...

Re: Rumour Mill
you can prize jamie heaslip from my cold dead fingers. :) I'd say his plan is 2 more years to take him to the world cup. Shortly After that he will be 36. Retire. Conan will be in his prime by then. If I was him I'd be happy to bide my time for 2 years and play all the games jamie doesn't. (about h...

Re: Northampton Saints v Leinster BT Friday 7.45
Only way I see us losing this is if Courtney Lawes goes head hunting for Carbery. This level of confidence sits a little uneasily but can't remember the last time I was as excited by a Leinster teamsheet. Hopefully Adam Byrne can continue his form. Thought he was poor enough in the pre-season game a...

Re: Rumour Mill
Sacrilegious as it may be, would it be the worst thing in the world if Jamie did move on?
He is the best number 8 Ireland's ever produced and I very much doubt he's going anywhere anyway but can't help feel if he re-signs Jack Conan could look to move on which would be a pity.

Re: Anthony Foley RIP
I really don’t see this game going ahead. How can anyone expect players to perform the day after his funeral? I don’t know how Glasgow could really be expected to play against them. I do appreciate this is a professional game but given the emotional intensity involved I think there’s a strong chance...

Can the quality of the ref's performance be clarified?
Admittedly I wasn't as sober at the end of the game as I was at the start but I thought he was dreadful.

Re: Rumour Mill
I really don’t see Jamie leaving. He's the world's youngest 32year old. I think it’s time Dom Ryan did move on. He could absolutely do a job in the AP but will play less and less for Leinster. Then it’s a case of if they can hang on to the others. If it’s a case of having to lose one of Jordi, Leavy...

Re: Leinster vs Castres Sat Oct 15th @ 15:15
@molloyjh no worries. I took it you meant I was being "foolish". I apologise. Glad to hear we're on the same page. @ Dirk Stickler - a "mile" is certainly one way of expressing the distance between Murray and McGrath, though not the one I personally would use. In terms of experi...

Re: Leinster vs Castres Sat Oct 15th @ 15:15
Luke a mile behind Murray? McGrath outplayed his opposite number last week in the Aviva in front of 40.000 punters. What more d'yiz want? I see no reason, why he shouldn't put in another sterling performance tomorrow!Plus currently he's playing better than Marmion, who due to poor form is being out...

Re: Leinster vs Castres Sat Oct 15th @ 15:15
This is a bit worrying, it's a fairly strong Castres team. Slightly concerned about Furlong, despite his good start to the season. He;s still only 23. Furlong is the best tighthead in Ireland he'll be grand (albeit this will be a test in scrums) Kockott on bench screams theyre not going full metal ...

Re: Leinster vs Castres Sat Oct 15th @ 15:15
Wonder when will people realise Luke McGrath is clearly 1st choice 9. I wasn't questioning his status as Leinster no.1 but if he wants to become a serious alternative to Murray / Marmion for Ireland its matches like these he needs to stand out in. Dupont is extremely good and a really dangerous run...

Re: Leinster vs Castres Sat Oct 15th @ 15:15
That’s a pretty good side. I don’t know a damn thing about SR’s but Mick Kearney has looked a better player than Ian Nagle to me. I’ll trust Leo on that one. He does seem to love Molony. Harsh on Jordi but it would’ve been harsh on any of the 5 looking to get into the 4 places. The Sexton injury is ...

Re: Leinster v Munster Saturday 2.05 Sky/TG4
I don't mind the backline. Makes sense to start Henshaw and see what he's got in the tank. Ideally Reid will replace him after 55/ 60. The only issue I have is the backrow. I like Jordi and Ruddock but i'd have preferred to see VDF at 7 and Leavy at 6. I know they're conscious of getting people up t...

Re: Euro Squad 16/17
I wouldn’t mind seeing Ryan at some stage but this is one area where Leo really should be the best judge. Presumably he’s not hitting the S&C targets (not an issue for Porter) required for the step up. A year to build himself will only be a good thing long term. I imagine he’ll be pushing pretty...
