So salty you’d get dehydrated reading it. Oh and it’s a “beef reduction jus train” fecking savages.

Jackman said Munster were seen as a soft touch by agents when renewing contracts.

Re: Connacht 2023/24
by Colmodon » I often think about that old DM post about squad bloat - a really excellent piece. I think at least part of the reason why people get the impression that Leinster's budget is so big is because all of their players get game time and have roles throughout the season whereas munster, Uls...

Meh. No interest in wasting energy hating anyone. Or letting them "live rent free in my head" as the saying goes. it's not hate.John. It's schadenfreude. The more the person loves the sound of his own voice and chasing down the media to get in front of a camera, the sweeter the schadenfre...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
I would have said prior to his stint with Bath that he just didn't have a knack for coaching as a head coach, his main failings being a] he couldn't get players to respond emotionally; and b] he couldn't put together a gameplan that exposed weaknesses in strong teams and provided Munster with the a...

Re: Season Ticket Renewals 24/25
I think that's quite unlikely to happen. There's only a couple hundred left. I'd say we'll know by Friday. I wasn't going to renew. There's 4 of us sharing 2 tickets to the south stand which is handy if all 4 want to go because you can pick up the extra tickets easy enough and be sitting together. ...

Re: The quickening 2024
You’re correct: there are reasons. They are just not good reasons. So, yes- I’ll certainly debate the lack of merits. Aside from the damaging loss of points - and I’m not happy to beholden to the “kindness of strangers”, there’s the damage to reputation from both the defeat (our depth), and our com...

Re: The quickening 2024
There was absolutely no reason for Leinster not to field a REALLY strong side (of exclusively front line players) against the Lions, and then fly anyone needed for the Saints game home a full 11 days before the Croke park semi ..... with 4 or 5 points in the bag. Then send an academy side out again...

People can take all the offence they want. I just think it must be exhausting getting that upset about such things. And My turn to use hyperbole now. On other online and social media platforms this kind of stuff. (Hatred of people you have never met over stuff that may or may not be all in your hea...

Re: Munster 2023/2024 - Return of the Jedi????
Reading I'm not sure I buy the over simplistic chat of "you aren't playing the youngsters". Sometimes you can pour game time into players and its clear that they'll not be able to step up to level required. Josh Wycherley is 24 years old. He's had 66 Munster caps and did the Emerging Irel...

Re: Lions v Leinster - Sat 20 April, 14.00 - RTE2
This year's trip to SA is very akin to last year's. Underresourced team. Surely we could have given Kelleher and Conan and Connors much needed game time? Andrew Osborne has got more opportunities than merited to my mind. His defensive reading makes Stockdale look good. But maybe that is down to our...

Re: Leinster v Northampton Saints - EPCR Semi-Final Croke Park 4th May
Saint ms hammered tigers 40-17. Only caught the first 20 of the second half. Was tight enough “on the scoreboard” for about 60 minutes when tigers got a red card(high shot). This came on the back of 2 YCs(35 mins and 46 mins)for slap downs(one of which was a PT)I think. Basically tigers played a hal...

The source of this rumour about Boyle is someone who joined a few days before the LAR game. Maybe just treat like a tourist for the moment.

Re: Central Contracts
Surely every player who plays in Ireland is paid by the IRFU? Whether their wage is lodged to their account from the IRFU bank account or lodged to their account by the IRFU via a provincial bank account at the end of the day all funds come from the IRFU and therefore in effect every single player ...

Re: Central Contracts
Central contracts are in no way intended as a subsidy or reward (to provinces). A central contract is where Nucifora negotiates contracts directly with strategically important players rather than leaving it to the provinces. If Sexton asked for more money and was told no, it should (& was) be o...
