Re: Connacht v Leinster Rainbow Cup Sat 8/5 19.35

Connacht with 83 tackles & 61% possession to Leinster's 153 & 39%! Mad considering the score

Murray Kinsella is a pleasure to listen to. Really knows his stuff.
Absolutely. Knows all the players too, even the second/third choice and up and comers.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Agree that they should be regulated - especially considering they've been regulated in other European countries for a good while now. Would probably require better cycling infrastructure. Don't see why they would require tax or insurance though! They'd surely be in...

Kane Douglas starting for Bordeaux - I had no idea he was still around and playing top tier rugby!

Obviously I'm supporting Ulster but if I was a neutral watching Leicester playing with Austin Healy on "co-comms", I would definitely shout for their opposition

Austin is such a pain. "In rugby league that's a penalty to Leicester". Well we're not watching rugby league.
In Gaelic football that's a red card for an 'attempted strike' from the Leicester player. Doesn't matter, different sport

Re: Ulster Rugby - 2020-21 Season

Pity it was disallowed because of an earlier knock on, but Stockdale's pass for the would be Balacoune try was nice.
It's a pity that he's so bad at some of the important full back duties as he's an excellent runner and a lovely passer too.

Porter is having a cracking season but I think Furlong is still one of those players (maybe even the only player) that an exception would be made for. He slotted straight back in ahead of Porter having not played in about a year.

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle, Sunday 2nd of May 3pm

Hopefully just a temporary little arrangement. They'll be back, that's a guarantee. Hence desperate to win at least one of the two Cups before they're back involved, put a bit of daylight between us and the upstarts. They might not get promoted they’re 3rd in the championship and Ealing Trailfinder...

Re: Rainbow Cup Rd 1: Saturday, 24 April: Leinster v Munster – KO 7.35pm, RDS Arena

Well that was very poor. It wasn't a meaningless game, it was a game in our domestic cup competition and it was an interpro against a provincial rival, and in that regard our performance was very disappointing. The result is one thing, but for so many supposedly promising players to phone one in is...

Re: Rainbow Cup Rd 1: Saturday, 24 April: Leinster v Munster – KO 7.35pm, RDS Arena

Most of us were expecting a loss as Munster were full strength whereas Leinster had 4 guaranteed starters (Ryan, Ringrose, Lowe, Larmour), 2 of which were back from injury. In some positions we were down to 3rd, 4th, 5th choice players! All that said, 3 points is a very disappointing return consider...

Leinster steal so many lineouts, barely a mention from commentary - in fact Toland went on and on about Munster's defence and after one and claimed it was a Leinster lineout.
POM steals one Leinster lineout and they're in awe.

I missed the first few minutes, what kind of injury did Harry ship? Was it bad?
He tackled Murray as he was going over for Munster's try, who landed on top of him. Went off after that

Re: Hooker options going forward

That's mad. Was Salanoa injured at any stage that kept his appearances/minutes low?
Even Ciarán Parker, who Leinster brought in as a joker, played more minutes than Salanoa (85 minutes in 3 appearances from the bench).

I can see the similarity - Girv was a solid, reliable player and not one of the "galacticos" - but with 82 international caps I wouldn't say he was exactly like Benty

I can't imagine Leo et al would be too worried about disrespecting a fixture they are playing for the 5th time in ten months, in a mickey mouse competition (where it's likelihood of finishing is still up in the air), when they have a Heineken Cup SF the following week.
