Re: Sexton's last season? Outhalf going forward..
I think Leinster have planned for it well. It's clear they have their duo who will battle it out to replace him with Frawley a potential wild card and cover. It also looks like we dodged we dodged a bullet RE: Carbury, given his injuries Would he have been injured so much had he stayed? Doubtful. M...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
Deegan featured this season, did his knee in the game against the Dragons in October.

Re: Glasgow at Home, Sunday the 28th, 5.30pm
Maybe this is a bit off topic for the match thread, but the conversation around the jackal here is interesting. I agree that we don’t appear to target the ball in the ruck as a tactic, but I’m also interested in the reason why not. In my head, I’m guessing there are maybe three reasons why we don’t ...

Re: Glasgow at Home, Sunday the 28th, 5.30pm
Weird that Jimmy O’Brien took the place kick there. Was similar to Luke McGrath’s kick from a few weeks ago — clearly someone who doesn’t place kick regularly.

Bad miss from Hawkshaw. Pretty unconvincing shift at 10.

All the momentum with Glasgow. Really need to hold out here. There’s zero chance this team is beating Ulster.

Re: Glasgow at Home, Sunday the 28th, 5.30pm
Thought that Glasgow try was clearly knocked on at the final pick up — catches it, dropped it and reclaimed on the bounce. Think they’ve gotten away with one there.

Yeah, confirmed Frawley is out and Osbourne is starting. Max O’Reilly promoted to bench.

Re: Glasgow at Home, Sunday the 28th, 5.30pm
This needs to be a 5 pointer. Feel pretty confident it will be, but I can’t see us being able to beat Ulster next week with the players we have available vs the players they do. They are the next best side in the competition and are pretty close to full strength, we need all the buffer we can get.

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
Is that curtains for Adam Byrne? Not sure if his contract is up for renewal, but we suddenly have quite a bit of depth in the back three, and it looks likely he won’t be in a place to feature for us again until at least the beginning of next season.

Re: Tighthead Prop going forward
Signing NIQ players doesn’t always mean we’re splashing out — I’ve no idea what Fardy would earn but I’d imagine that there’s more of an element of risk signing this lad versus a well established full international player, and the salary would likely reflect that. Money saved from a comparative poin...

Not sure if anything has changed but having some issues accessing the site via the Tapatalk app. It’s giving me the very helpful “Need not empty cmd“ error when I try to access the forum.

Re: A whiff of Cordite
We beat them 63-8 only a few months ago, and put 70 on them in Jan 2017. Don't remember much of a fuss being made of either result at the time. Clermont may have won big this week, but they’ve been beaten fairly often this season (6 times, 4 at home). And they’ve generally fielded a pretty strong te...

Re: Pro 14 Team of the week
Whose team of the week is that? While I didn’t watch the Ulster or Connacht games, I’m surprised to see Ross Byrne in there as the pick of the 12s over McCloskey and Aki. He was far from a stand out in the Dragons game.

Yeah, that team would get slaughtered imo, but we have enough of a cushion that they’d need to 5-0 us and beat one of our other two results.cormac wrote:If that's the squad we send to Belfast in two weeks we'll be in trouble

Bizarre that Dragons kicked it out to end the game there. A losing bonus is literally useless for them. Might as well try and get an unlikely win.

Well, that’s an awesome maul, bonus point with Ulster struggling against Glasgow is huge.
