Re: Australia v Lions 3rd Test
Gatlands decision to drop BOD is simply amazing. The lions concept is something that I have always liked because you can see how much it means to the players although it is something that has changed in the professional era and has become harder to win and the toll it takes on players has to be cons...

Re: Sexton to Racing
O gara signed 2 year contract in 2010 and o Callaghan signed for 3 years in 2010. Bet rog will get a new central one in the summer. They wouldn't give sexton what he was looking for last time so he only signed for 2 years I think. The question is now can they hold onto the other players and how muc...

Re: Autumn Internationals (everyone else)
How Rhys Priestland continues to be selected at international level is beyond me. He must have some serious dirt on Warren Gatland. He has started this one very poorly alright Quite genuinely, he would look out of place in the AIL on this form. Can't kick, can't pass, can't tackle; has a look on hi...

Re: Autumn Internationals (everyone else)
Andrew Hore will be cited for off the ball punch on Bradley Davies. Very lucky wasn't seen or NZ would have been down to 14 for all of the match

Re: Leinster vs Munster October 6 2012
The pitch is cutting up fairly badly at every scrum! Fairly tough for both teams to scrummage on it but Leinster have upper hand in that aspect

Re: Leinster League 2012-2013
Anyone at the Tullamore and Garda match? 100 nil! Thats shocking in the top junior league in Leinster. Was talkin to a couple of friends and they said that Garda tried to be brought down a division or somethin like that because they knew they were losing numbers but they were told they would have to...

I thought the ball came off a blue hand for the munster try. Ref has been fairly whistle happy both ways so far. Hope he lets the game flow a bit moreFLIP wrote:Munster try was an obvious forward pass.

Re: Lineout throw in Styles
Looking at lineout throw-in styles it's obvious (at least to me) why some hookers are better at throwing in than others. Varley for example has a very poor style. His left hand significant leads his right hand. Strauss' left leads his right also, but only very slightly. Dundan no leading hand. Ken ...

Re: Marmion
I was a big fan of Cooney at U20s level. I thought he was the classy type of player who'd improve but who mostly did the simple things right. I wasn't a fan of Marmion until recently, but he's two years younger than Cooney and already has more starts. It's really early days and at the moment I'd pr...

Really saddened to hear this this morning. Was a great prospect in rugby but accidents like this really put sport and life in perspective. He was only a couple of years younger than myself and it really makes you think about things. I can't even begin to think what their mother is going through toda...
