Watched it live, gave us all a good laugh. I think this is the game Jonah announced himself to the world.

Re: Pro 16
I would love to see a Mongrel type team of Irish Italian Scottish and Welsh setup in Brussels. That would make 18. Brussels has NATO and the EU so lots of expats living there. Plus what a destination for an Away Rugby Weekend. Brilliant destination. Tell the bird that you're goin to Brussels for th...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
It's the age old Irish Inferiority complex. Leinster win the Pro14 three years in a row.....Just proves that the league is sh!te. The same naysayers were saying the same thing a few years back when there of 4 different successive winners. How about a positive spin for a change...... Leinster are rea...

An Argentinian side based is Bilbao? Could that work? Someone else would have to be jettisoned I would assume, maybe the 2 Italian clubs merged into 1. Can't see happening tbh. Re: 6 Nations 2021
Ireland is the only rugby nation on the planet that has managed (up to now) to resist massive player haemorrhage to the Top 14 and to the english prem.
We must be doing something right.

Re: Dragons Away, 19th Feb, 7.35pm
Not bad, but not great either.
5 tries isn't bad I suppose on a pitch which looked like it just hosted the battle of Agincourt.
Some amount of penalties given away by us in the first half, the ref probably needed a defibrulator in the changing rooms at HT.
Better 2nd half.

Re: Sean Cronin
What a servant, if he does go he's owes us nothing. 42 tries and counting, same as Rob Kearney and most for a forward. 13 in 2018/19 alone (6 in the Heino), only Dr. Phil in 2005/06 with 15 has scored more in a season this century 16 tries in the Heino, same as Isa. Scored tries in the....... 2012 P...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
How else do we explain where we are with 35 yo King Johnny as Captain of everything and messrs Burns and Byrne (15 caps between them, mainly as benchers) hoping to paper over the cracks on Sunday Because even at 35 and rapidly declining, Sexton is still far more likely than Burns or Byrne to lead u...

Re: 6 Nations 2021
Not the first time she's been missing in action during a recent match. Surely the first Eng try involved a knock-on by May I think. They didn't show a close up though, the 2nd had a clear as day forward pass, I could see it live. WTF is goin on with the TMO? At least the ref pulled Maro for a penal...

Re: 6 Nations 2021
I'm concerned about a few things here; 1. Our place kicks. I don't think its a strength of Billy Burns' even when he isn't recovering mentally from an error last week. 2. Our second row looks light. Both of those guys are/were thought of as '6 and a halfs'. 3. The lineout - we're short on jumpers a...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
Its the theme for the coming weekend.
France young guns already established internationals whilst our lot are stuck in Pro14 purgatory.
"Send them away (before they've even been capped)."
Oh wait.

Re: Friday's rant
Just to clarify. Members of the Garda band are not members of the force plucked from various stations just because they are pretty handy at "The Birdy Song" on the trumpet or "The Macarena" on a sax. They are musicians who applied to join the Garda Band when vacancies and recruitment competitions a...

Re: 6 Nations 2021
Gavin Coombes has returned to train with Munster after spending some time with the national squad last week. This seems a bit stupid. Munster don't have a game until the 20th Feb, i.e. Saturday week. Why not keep Coombes involved with the national squad for the week of training to allow him to beco...

Re: 6 Nations 2021
Overall, I thought we played well. The POM red really blew a hole in any plan we had and it was ad lib from there. Losing Ryan was almost as big a blow but TBF Hendo did well when he came on. We dominated most of the game despite the circumstances but individual bad play really let us down at times....

One of the most one sided encounters you'll see in a 6Ns game that didn't involve Italy.
Hogg was simply stupendous.
Russell was simply awful.
