Re: is the Rainbow Cup still going ahead?

So, at a time of the season when we finally have a full squad to select a team from, we'll have no match for three weeks after this Friday. I mentioned this on another thread but I fear we'll have long injury lists post-6N for the foreseeable future. Its going to be another hurdle to clear to win t...

You spake, the RFU heard! https://www.rte.ie/sport/rugby/2021/0511/1220982-rfu-decides-to-ditch-saxons-in-interests-of-diversity/ I’m a bit surprised by this one to be honest. Unlike Swing Low, I hadn’t heard any complaints about it. Good thing we don’t play in the “Celtic League” anymore Interesti...

Re: RFU reviewing “Swing Low”

At least the wolfhound is Irish. Leinster might have to consider Leo's position. Leo the Lion that is. Since a Lion is not an indigenous species of the Leinster area we could be accused of cultural appropriation. Just sayin. True. But if Barry Cunliffe, Bob Quinn and others are correct, that the or...

Re: is the Rainbow Cup still going ahead?

Current standings are;

Munster P 2 Pts 9
Bennetton P 2 Pts 9
Dragons P 2 Pts 6
Ospreys P2 Pts 5
Leinster Ps Pts 5

There's a few other teams on 5 points but with a worse points diff behind us.

We're going to have to BP everyone to have any chance of finishing first

What have white anglo saxon protestants ever done wrong? Shoulder and hamstring for Frawley? Dunno what to say about that except that he's having absolutely no luck recently

Re: Enforcer Second-Row Options

Has this thread reached a conclusion and whether Leinster should be investing in a second-row enforcer? I'm sure Leo and Mick Dawson want to know. For what its worth (which is nothing), I think there's been some good arguments made here fur us not needing one, but the argument for having one is stro...

That would be my thinking too. I'd like if they'd confirmed it! But really, is there any other reason to only sign a 1 year extension?

It wouldn't be the first time Welsh players have underperformed for their club only to excel at test level

Leinster v. Ulster, Rainbow Cup, Fri 14 May, 20.15hrs

It's the big one. At least, its the biggest one this week. Ulster have now lost three in a row, which isn't a feeling they're used to. Despite Connacht's dramatic win against them, I think they'll present a sterner test in the forwards especially with some guys coming back in pissed off after losing...

Those two backrows each look properly balanced. Should be a great contest there.

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle, Sunday 2nd of May 3pm

There has been a bit of inaccurate comment about the extent to which Top 14 budgets determine success as if our progress is built off a fat chequebook. Nonsense. I find this part pretty unconvincing, but the rest is interesting as usual. I've never disliked ROG. Re-watching the game, that missed ea...

Re: Connacht v Leinster Rainbow Cup Sat 8/5 19.35

That picture isn't showing up for me, which I know has been happening for a few people recently. In case you're in the same boat; Leinster Rugby (caps in brackets): 15. Hugo Keenan (27) 14. Cian Kelleher (25) 13. Garry Ringrose (82) 12. Ciarán Frawley (34) 11. Dave Kearney (167) 10. Ross Byrne (100)...

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle, Sunday 2nd of May 3pm

According to ROC, Gatland said that La Rochelle's physical dominance on Sunday was a factor in Ryan not going, and that Leinster have been beaten up regularly in the biggest games. Ouch! Definitely not untrue, Ryan is a big unit does he lack a nasty streak? anyone who allows himself to be shoe'd ly...

Re: 2021 Lions

I feel bad for the lads who must've been close - Sexton, Ryan, Ringrose being the obvious - but from a purely selfish point of view I'm a little relieved. I think Sexton and Ryan in particular wouldn't benefit from playing on that tour right now, and I care far more about Leinster and Ireland than t...

Re: Enforcer Second-Row Options

I understand the premise of the topic. I do actually think its possible for us to sign a top class lock and its something that is very much required if we want to return to the top of the tree. Getting someone in of the quality of kruis is very achievable. Unfortunately we seem to want to win these...

Just downloaded it there now. It’s narrated by Wesley Crusher though, the RC Bray version isn’t on Audible unfortunately
