Re: Enforcer Second-Row Options

I understand the premise of the topic. I do actually think its possible for us to sign a top class lock and its something that is very much required if we want to return to the top of the tree. Getting someone in of the quality of kruis is very achievable. Unfortunately we seem to want to win these...

Just downloaded it there now. It’s narrated by Wesley Crusher though, the RC Bray version isn’t on Audible unfortunately

Although you do need to be a fan to enjoy them, lots of references that won’t be funny otherwise.
I’ve read both so often I nearly know them by heart!

Kruis is a good call. De Jager is who I had in mind immediately

What about Jack Dunne? Where’s his ceiling in this role going to be?

It’ll be very interesting whether they go for him or Donaldson. Donaldson would be a bit of continuity from Robinson & Foster. Poots is the ‘mask off’ candidate

Tell me what audiobooks to listen to

Now that we have to avoid all the rugby podcasts for the next.........year at least, what should I be using to drown out the sounds of my friends and family chewing?

Sci-fi, comedy & history preferred

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle, Sunday 2nd of May 3pm

In 2021 we're won 9 lost 4, and we lost our share by not playing smart enough. We put out a strong team but there really wasn't a body of form for a lot of guys and the Munster match wasn't good preparation. It looked like the squad was getting over the injury hump after Exeter but it wasn't really...

No flu except for the fact that me and my whole family had the flu in November... again I work on the biggest FDI sites in Ireland. FDI, I'm still waiting. This is starting to feel like Peter and his three denials of any association with JON. I've a cousin prof of medicine, taught herself Japanese ...

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle, Sunday 2nd of May 3pm

I said when he was up for grabs we should go all in for Skelton. If Munster can get someone like Snyman then it’s not unrealistic to think we could do similar. We lack that sheer bulk As long as we’re supplying a huge tranche to Ireland for the 6N we’ll probably always have a lot of injuries in Apr...

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle, Sunday 2nd of May 3pm

The turning point for me was replacing Ruddock with Baird. Baird has many great attributes and will be (and indeed is) a serious player for us. He's not a breakdown guy however - we should have brought Fardy on. Its easy to be wise after the event, after all we were going well at the time, but we c...

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle, Sunday 2nd of May 3pm

It does come down to the same problem that we had with Saracens - bigger, superior athletes. When those kind of guys are well coached, there's very little you can do. I actually disagree, today wasn't won by power. We just didn't fire at all. Too many errors, bad passes and kicks, knock ons and poo...

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle, Sunday 2nd of May 3pm

There was a lot to be concerned about there, I think. We aren’t getting through many phases in possession, and they are. We’ve thrown far too many passes into the ground too. Their enormous forwards seem to be slowly making ground.

Really we’ve lived off their errors and poor discipline
