Re: Ulster Rugby - 2020-21 Season

Tough luck on Cormac Izzy to do his ACL. Hopefully, McFarland has a full programme and recovery on the S&C side combined with a high grade "rugby experience" education planned for this excellent young prospect who has a bright future ahead right up a senior Green Jersey.

Good luck with rehab.

Re: 6 Nations (Women)

Hugh Cahill again showing his lack of class and understanding of the situation when losing interest in the game he was commentating on because of the score and talking about the let down after the performance last week. What an absolute clown he is. "Clown" is being exceedingly gentle. He is thunde...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21

Leinster Rugby forward Scott Fardy has announced his retirement from rugby at the end of the current season. https://www.leinsterrugby.ie/scott-fardy-to-retire-at-the-end-of-the-season A true Leinster great and can (for me anyway) be spoken of with Isa and Rocky etc. as one of the greatest foreign ...

Re: Rainbow Cup Rd 1: Saturday, 24 April: Leinster v Munster – KO 7.35pm, RDS Arena

We will probably select a team comparable to team versus La Rochelle minus players with high mileage this season. Key is getting playing assessment on Ringer, JGP (if available), James Ryan, Caelan Doris and any other long-term injuries. Picking Frawley at 12 might make sense only if they are consid...

Here's a start on research into La Rochelle at home, this season in big games. https://rugby4cast.com/rugby-predictions/la-rochelle-v-toulouse-top-14-2020-21-round-18-prediction/ This link takes you to the Rugby4cast algorithm for pre-match predictions in the Top 14. Re: Munster Rugby - Semi Conscious, the Series Finale??? - 2020/21

Good player, but a step backwards for a "developing" squad. That's now big acquisitions of Haley, Gallagher and now Zebo in consecutive years. Still picking players because they're available and a good deal (IRFU help) rather than because they are building a balanced or sustainable squad. And the IR...

Re: 2021 Lions

Robyn McBride’s role means there is an outside chance of there being 4 Irish & Leinster front row players on the tour. Healy is a better scrummager than Wyn Jones or Surherland and would be an excellent GIY to come off the bench for a 25 minute shift in tests. Marler still an option if he is prepar...

Re: Leinster European Player of the Year nominations

Tadhg Furlong has made the European Player of the Year longlist in 5 consecutive seasons Yes but how many club games as he played this year? 1 or 2? Think if I were Andrew Porter I'd be a bit disappointed in that list! EPCR has made a total farce of this award by the nomination of TF who has played...

Re: Michael Alaalatoa signs for Leinster

It would be interesting to set up a poll with all the theories to see how will Leinsterfans predict the outcome No inside track, pure surmise. Cian to remain at LHP through 2021-2, Tagdh first choice at THP, Porter to play LHP from 2021-22 and get a 3 Yr central contract in October 2021, and Michae...

Re: Michael Alaalatoa signs for Leinster

Great signing and I have total confidence that Leinster management have a far more comprehensive grasp of all of the relevant factors than any of us on here and have made a great signing, no matter how dedicated we are as fans.

As for the relevance of comments from further south in the island, SFA.

Well available for selection anyway. Yesterday's performances have broadened the selection options IMO.

Re: European Cup Semi-Final: Away to La Rochelle

So Jonno gets a 3rd shot at beating Leinster after Clermont & Ulster and RO'G gets a second shot after some good days and some bad ones with Munster. Least preferred option for both of them except for being at home. For us another game on the road but not a big difference with no supporters. A good ...

Re: Heineken Cup 2020/21

Clermont -Toulouse couldn't be as bad as that game. Like others I would very much welcome Bordeaux but would even be happy to travel to Bordeaux. That said, although RO'G may not have too much experience of beating Leinster, Jonno Gibbes certainly still has some Leinster IP and will be of benefit to...

Re: Champions Cup 1/4 Final: Exeter V Leinster

Reynal is a funny fish, he was super hot on infringing when forming a maul off a lineout drive during the 6 nations, I think he did us twice in try scoring positions once against Italy and against England, he also did England for it in the same game. Yesterday the Exeter try at the start of the sec...

Re-watching and Kelleher's work rate, carries and tackles, in the first half is off the charts. This was an exceptional performance when the team needed him.
