Re: Toulouse vs Leinster
As perverse as this may sound, I would be quite happy for Toulouse to get a 2 bonus point loss against us today so that they feel like they are still in the fight for the next 3 round of fixtures.

Re: A whiff of Cordite
Sunday night fly back to Dublin and his 'flat', as he calls it, in Rathmines, which conjures up images of a one-bar electric fire eating into his beer money. Oh the memories. https://www.independent.ie/sport/rugby/leinster-rugby/stuart-lancaster-on-losing-his-dad-last-month-and-the-joy-winnin...

Re: Sneak Peak - RDS Redevelopment Plans
At least the RDS as it is, has a lot of character. In America, the boston red sox's ground has limited capacity but the club owners decided to live with that and work out some other way of increasing revenue rather than destroy the character of the place. I believe that they have also now decided t...

Re: Sneak Peak - RDS Redevelopment Plans
Going on 10 years now since it was first mooted that Leinster would look to modernize the RDS as a permanent home. This thread is already over 5 years old. What an absolute tit they have made of the stadium situation. As well as Leinster is run, and it's by far the best run and most professional pr...

Re: Nfl v rugby
It's a poorly constructed clickbait argument. Would NFL players dominate in rugby? Unlikely given their body-shapes, fitness types, skillsets etc. Potentially they could but who knows. The argument as to whether or not the US could dominate rugby if they prioritised it, of course they could potentia...

Re: Munster 2017 -2018
big fan of Donncha Ryan but was it cost-effective to re-sign him? I think it was the right call for all concerned.
I expect we will see a similar situation with Sean O'Brien at the end of his contract.

Re: Leinster Squad 18-19
I'm clearly wired differently but I never understand Leinster fans on a Leinster forum, discussing our squad for next season, willing even more of our players into Ireland camp. Because if they are good enough for Ireland then it is great for Leinster. And Ireland. Except it's not that simple. It i...

Re: Leinster Squad 18-19
Are we expecting any breakthrough players next season?
Larmour and Ryan this season, Carbery the year before, Ringrose the year before that... test quality world class players off the conveyor belt and ready to go. Dare we dream it will happen again?

Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
As for the Carbery stuff, is this just Munster bashing? He signed to play in the XV regularly and hopefully at 10 Eh no. He was already playing in Leinster's 15 regularly. He signed for Munster to play 10. The was all made very clear. Carbery wasn't in the first choice Leinster XV last season and w...

Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
I welcome his return but Contepomi wasn't a world class 10, I'm sure that Ross Byrne will be happy to work with a Leinster legend but it's not like he'll be learning from Dan Carter. Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
Ross Byrne must be delighted he's the one to play in Leinster This. Exactly, he mentored Sexton through very nicely, he will be an excellent hands on coach with Byrne I'd imagine, as well as having Sexton to learn off week in week out. I'd still love to know all the promises made to Carbery to get ...

Re: Summer tour to Australia
As the video shows there was nothing in the Healy incident and Cheika should be called out for disparaging him so publicly. It was unfortunate for Genia but it was a freak occurrence.

Re: Ireland's Next Captain
I think it will be POM and that Joe has consistently shown that he wants POM in his team. I don’t think that he has? Only since he came in for Heaslip at the last minute just over a year ago. During which time we’ve had injuries to players he clearly rates highly like SOB and VDF. Since then Leavy ...

Re: Ireland's Next Captain
I think 2 or 3 years is enought to act as captain. Best and POC were in their 30s before they became captain. I think its a mistake to make someone as young as Ryan captain, especially since he has never lost a pro game, how do you know what he will be like when the team is up against it? You learn...
