Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!

Contepomi has been involved as a backline coach with both the Jaguares and the Pumas over the last three years – he's not coming in from scratch or solely on the back of his reputation as a player. This was my one reservation. The game has moved on a lot in the last 5-10 Years. I wasn’t sure what F...

Re: Summer tour to Australia

I thought ringrose was brilliant. Nothing flash but it was like he’d watched nothing but bod post 2009 videos all week. Animal in defense.
Pom was also excellent.
Sexton did well not to get creamed. Added lovely variety.
Looking forward to next week.

Re: Joe Tomane

Welcome Joe! In with one Joe, out with an other. His apparent enthusiasm (in Leos words) to join gives me a lot of hope that he'll make a very decent signing. In my (v. amature) opinion, he could with with trimming down a bit to adjust to the faster game he'll be playing. He could be a serious weap...

Re: Leinster v Munster 2018 Pro14 S/F 19th May RDS

Am I remembering right that kilcoyne got the better of porter with his signature swing the arse out and drive across last time they met? Great to see the arse go out and him have nowhere to go but down! Hope they have a really good two day recovery. That was a very professional performance. Didn’t h...

Re: Champions Cup Final - Leinster v Racing

There were some bad refereeing decisions. There was a very pedantic jp Doyle on the side determined not to be biased. But to think that they set out to have a bad game or wont review the match with as much detail as the teams is insulting. They don’t need some chippy pr!*k in an airport telling them...

Re: Leinster v Llanelli European semi

We were so good, so efficient. There was a lot of talk about the semi last year. We thought we would never be that bad again, Scarlets thought they made us be that bad by the way they played. We put them through hugo’s Meat grinder, just unbelievable to watch a team as good as Scarlets getting scho...

Re: Ulster 2017 - 2018

I applaud the IRFU for the way in which it handled this sordid matter and I am astonished at some of the views expressed here in support of the two who have been dismissed. My only complaint would be in relation to the soft treatment of Gilroy, who should have received a similar fate. The IRFU (and...

Re: Who is your Leinster Young Player of Year?

In fairness St. Andrews clearly has the highest number of lads that were too big for hockey so they had to put them somewhere and therefore a Rugby pitch made sense and yet somehow they ended up as professionals.

Re: Who is your Leinster Young Player of Year?

Considering how Leavy bossed the Saracens game I’d lean there. I think he had one of the biggest impacts in the whole squad on our season. Ryan has come on strong later in the year whereas Leavy has produced all year. Larmour while scintillating needs to show a big defensive shift to be considered a...

Re: Friday's rant

Fair point, but the buses ran pretty well as usual in these circumstances. They'd run better if people didn't strand cars. The Luas is an expensive joke about which don't get me started. As for people walking, cycling, using wheelchairs, or with limited mobility: they are always last in the queue a...

On the rows, I’d have toner behind porter no matter who is fit. Felt when toner came on in one of the other matches the scrum improved dramatically.

Re: Ireland Vs Italy, Lansdowne Road, Saturday 10th Feb @14:

Just at Leinster, henshaw, Ringrose, larmour, carberry, Lowe Byrne is playing great stuff. A lot depends on who breaks through next. There’s a ridiculous amount of talent there. Add in aki, Earls and others and it could really come down to combinations rather than individuals ( long term, not for It...

I asked a friend, who was responsible for implementing statistical research at Harvard law, what stats can tell... Re: Possible golden generation

Ross Byrne is growing on me like coral he still cant force a game/make things happen like Sexton can but that's a space for improvement not a criticism he is playing so much better now than at the start of the year, which to some extent has to be down to playing with better players, and his goalkic...

Re: Munster v Leinster St Stephen's Day 3.15 TG4 & Sky Sport

Thought Lowe's discipline was quite poor but I think we can beat that out of him. My only concern is that he wasn't great under the high ball, hesitated on a few of them and really didn't get off the ground very much. I don't remember seeing that tested in Super Rugby. Speaking of discipline, havin...
