Re: Pro12: Munster v Leinster, Shelbyville, Sat 13th
Was very happy with the win and the way we won it. Those of us (at any level) who remember the satisfaction of digging deep deep & winning tough and ugly in bad conditions against a fired up, talented and rules wise borderline team (and good luck to them too) and a big loud crowd will smile at t...

Re: Ireland 'A' (Wolfhounds) 2013
Bent under pressure but not all his fault.
He's not leading in the front row for the engage but no power coming from the 2nd row and on our put in the Saxon LH is boring. Not hard to miss unless you're the ref or lineman...

Re: NZ V Ireland 2nd Test
So disappointed for the lads. No passengers on the Irish squad today and it showed. I thought NZ played ok - we just played better and our pressure forced - even the might ABs - no space and them into errors. Nigel Owens gave us no big 50:50s - the Dagg yellow card was a 100:0 btw. McCaw no class. D...

Re: Leinster v Ospreys
On paper that team that started yesterday looked really good and was going to put on a rugby exhibition (at least that's the vibes I was picking up and that I was hearing from everyone). It probably lead to a bit of complacency on our side and Ospreys used it to get fired up too. Any team was clearl...

Re: Ireland v Italy
Ahh but SOB is from Tulla. Positions 1-10 do the same thing down there. Ruck, Maul and kick ahead (any head). 11-15 are for getting the ball back from the next field or sharing their shampoo with you in the showers after.
It's the same for the GAA teams down there.
Sean can play 1-10 no problem.

Great disciplined performance. Could have lost the rag and their shape against a gobber like the ref but they didn't.

Agreed. Some serious questionable calls. Their TH in all sorts of trouble but breaking binds and standing up aren't penalties anymore?

Re: Connacht v Leinster
If Madigan has the potential to play 9 and 10 then let him have a go. It's not like it hasn't been done before. Yashvili and Parra regularly play both in the same match for club and country. If D'Arcy wasn't given a chance at centre back in the day he'd never have made it at FB for either Leinster o...

Re: O'Connell Named Ireland Captain For RBS 6 Nations
No surprise. Good luck to you Paulie. I didn't realise he's over 80 caps - that was a surprise. At this rate he'll easily break 100 and may go past O'Driscoll. Interesting to see who'll be in the 2nd row with him for the 6N. O'Callaghan who's getting a lot more bench time than match time or Ryan who...

Re: Leinster v Munster Nov 4th
Joe Schmidt dropping some not so subtle hints on the TG4 interview about his frustration with the Munster (illegal) spoiling tactics and the fact the ref didn't police it.
Need to keep an eye on SOB. He looked awful sore walking off at FT.

Unreal. IRB no better than FIFA for getting what they want and don't care how they do it. Paddy O'Brien is such a patriot.
Joubert a disgrace but just following orders imo.
Fair play France you were excellent.Though I want the pre-RWC final France to show up v Ireland in the 6N

Who says the Irish players don't do dwarf tossing?
See the way Ferris picked up Genia in the 1st half and dumped him back about 15 yards? Get in there!
You'll never beat the Irish!

It's been pouring rain down there for days and will tomorrow too. Our pack can best their's in a rain and mud fest. Let's turn into Argentina for 2 hours I say (then back into Ireland for Russia and Italy).

Re: SOB to be cited?
If Pearson had seen it then Sean would have been red carded, end of. In that case would we have been able to run down the Toulouse lead? I doubt it. It's desperate for Sean. I think he'll get 4 weeks but without him staying on the field we wouldn't be going to Cardiff at all.Small mercies and all th...
