Re: Heineken Champions Cup Final 2023
As for GT's take on the Leinster supporters, that made my blood boil tbh. I was in upper South Stand and the noise, support and colour from the Leinster fans was incredible. Probably the noisiest I've experienced in that stadium. Tosser. Was in upper south stand too (towards front) and it was epic....

Re: Heineken Champions Cup Final 2023
Thanks for the budget data. Almost €31m sounds like a fairly eye watering sum, but without knowing the full details it’s difficult to see how that compares with the likes of Leinster, saying that, I’d imagine it is still considerably larger than the running cost of Leinster Rugby. Almost impossible...

Re: Heineken Champions Cup Final 2023
Lads, I'm amazed that the authority of the Referee disappears at half time tbh! Rugby is held up as the greatest example of referees having ultimate authority over the field of play and the players - no back chat, no moaning, no pushing the ref, ganging up/crowding around the ref unlike many other f...

Re: Heineken Champions Cup Final 2023
He should apologise for the comments about James Ryan. There is a picture of Ryan looking directly at Aldritt during the coin toss. It was a bullshit lie. You want to talk about disrespect, don't make false claims against our captain of arrogance, that's about as disrespectful as it gets. Playing t...

Re: Heineken Champions Cup Final 2023
Firstly, thanks to all the posters here over the weekend. Reading everyone's views has been cathartic. FWIW i'd like to put in my 10 centimes worth. Atmosphere Incredible - i've been to loads of international rugby and football games home and away for over 40 years, and the noise made by Leinster fa...

Re: O'Connell not cited
I cant help wondering that if DK had been a Munster player on the ground, would POC have done the same thing, in the same manner? Ah, jaysus. Can we put this to bed now. It's over an done with. I agree. However, many in the Media on Sunday were not in agreement that it was over and done with, certa...

Re: Joe's replacement IF he gets Ireland job
Joe as the next Ireland head coach looking more and more likely. Gibbes, with an up and coming backs coach would seem the best option for me. Who that backs coach is or could be is beyond me though!!! (who is the next Joe Schmidt?). from what Joe has said in latest interviews looks more and more li...

Re: O'Connell not cited
Seems Leo has broken his silence on the matter, as reported by the IT's kid reporter J Watterson. Expect a meltdown from the usual suspects. http://www.irishtimes.com/sport/rugby/leinster-hit-out-at-the-decision-not-to-cite-paul-o-connell-for-kick-on-dave-kearney-1.1362509 Leo is quoted at the end ...

Re: O'Connell not cited
so here we are, 4 days after the incident. 1. Many Leinster fans think POC kicked DK in the head, the VAST majority of whom think it was accidental but reckless and citable. 2. The Leinster coach thinks it was worthy of citing (and his comments may have cost him a shot at the Ireland job as we do pa...

Re: RTE and Leinster
Anyone else recall Daire's comment immediately after the game when the camera was still panning around the handshakes ofthe players? "If you like your rugby to hurt, that one was for you" - wonder how Kearney's mates/family felt about that comment with him being carted off on a stretcher 2...

Re: O'Connell not cited
By the look of Turnipfans.com, there'll be no tarmacadam spread anywhere in Munster this afternoon. Most of the larger Limerick off-licences have already started rationing cans of Bulmers; only a dozen cans allowed per customer. It's honestly nothing to do with him being a Munster player. I'd be su...

Re: O'Connell not cited
Lo and behold POC has not been cited from last Saturdays match. If that doesn't constitute reckless I don't know what does Lets hope Dave Kearney recovers fully from this clumsy reckless assault Officialdom in this match really excelled themselves, from strange decisions from the TMO, missed on suc...

Oh dear.
I thnk the sport of Rugby is the loser with this decision. (if that's the decision!)
Anyway, storm in a teacup or not, I think it's a sad day that the kick in the head by St. Paul is neither careless nor reckless, according to the rules of the game per the citing commissioner.

Re: Pro12: Munster v Leinster, Shelbyville, Sat 13th
Do you think he intentionally kicked DK in the head? If the answer to that is yes, then he is, indeed, a scumbag. If the answer is no, but he was reckless with his actions, then that surely, by extension, is accidental? I'd say careless and dangerous, not accidental. Dave's head didn't move into hi...
