Re: Glasgow Warriors v Leinster Friday 7.35 Premier/TG4

Ruddock, Molony and Luke are all good at Club level. Ruddock who has either a very high or perfect win rate as Ireland captain is only good at club level? In any timeline where Ireland weren't as cursed with POM being selected regardless of form Ruddock would be Ireland captain with Sexton VC. Leav...

Re: Glasgow Warriors v Leinster Friday 7.35 Premier/TG4

I thought JGP went to push Horne's shoulder but he half missed and made slight contact with his face which Horne overreacted to. I reckon Nigel would have said something along the lines of "We're not playing soccer here boys, DON'T let me see that again!!!" With a dive like that and prete...

Women's team matches against USA and Japan to be held at the RDS. A kick back to them for the first 2 Leinster games being at the Aviva do you think?

Confirmed that Snyman has 'sustained a re-rupture of his cruciate ligament'. https://twitter.com/Munsterrugby/status/1447537012643336198 That is either ridiculously bad luck or someone in S&C has made a major error. Even with a surgery and appropriate rehab a ligament isn't the same post major ...

Re: Sean Cronin

by blockhead I think Nugget scored his 43rd Try today for Leinster. Goes ahead of RobK into 6th place. Only Isa, DaveK, Hickie, Darcy and O'Driscoll ahead of him now. For a Hooker, wow. Even more impressive when you realise he didn't come through the academy but had a few seasons under his belt at ...

Re: Leinster vs Zebre, 9/10, 1pm @TheRDS, RTE.

Cian Healy alone has more caps than their teams starting 9-15. And if it wasn't for their hooker and LH, their bench would have more caps than their starting team

Re: Friday's rant

So Whatapp etc took a six hour break yesterday. An internal problem apparently. That being the case why then was virtually every site inaccessible for a period of hours last night as well. This site being an example. Sounds to me like someone pulled the plug on internet access country wide. Now who...

Listening to The Tonight Show bit on potential electricity blackout and in particular the fact that the growth in data centres would appear to be a contributing factor. The obvious question which either wasn't asked or wasn't followed up on was. Why, why are we installing a disproportionate % of th...

Re: Women's Rugby World Cup

Beautifully out of tune. Always knew Peter O'Mahony was going to have a good game when his singing was most particularly off key. Hope this is an omen. Good luck girls. And in the end, like POM, occasionally delivers a high note but in the end disappoints. IRFU, given their track record in the woma...

Re: Women's Rugby World Cup

Italy win 34-10 with a bonus point, so an Ireland win with a bonus point would see them qualify, and anything less up to a draw (with matching bonus points) would see Ireland qualify for the final qualification tournament

Huh, didn't even know you had to be on your feet for that one, most held up try attempts due to a sneaky hand are from off feet players.

Re: Ulster 2021/22

Humes yellow was interesting. You see players try that a lot and never get penalised. Even took the ref a few replays before it occurred to him that Hume has to be on his feet. Hume was unlucky to get called. Wonder if we'll see more a crackdown now that the law has been rediscovered I didn't watch...

No, I said I couldn't believe it was true given the huge risks involved, and that in my view it wasn't an idea worth trying and one that was on the tier of those come up by people on a boozy lunch, and I still stand by that. Stop twisting other peoples words to match your antagonistic agenda. You a...

So much for Porter to LH being a 'a stupid idea of the sort usually cooked up by journos after a boozy lunch or fans on forums' and people struggling to believe 'the Leinster coaching staff are that stupid'. Very interested to see how it works out. I'll be very happy to eat crow if this works out, ...
