Re: Friday's Rave

You're just a sore loser and quite a toxic narcisstiic one too. Less of the smear campaign too. You know nothing about me and what I do or don't do online But that won't stop you making up or implying nasty stuff about me. I'll bite. Where was anything made up about you? What nasty stuff was implie...

Re: Friday's Rave

Merkel the Christian Democrat and protege of Helmut Kohl a communist? That’s the kind of deranged fact free ignorance it takes to imagine that a sensible, serious politician like Lynn Boylan will do worse for Ireland than Wiggy Boylan. You encounter his like online all the time, convinced that thei...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

Yeah, we got that in Gerry’s article. He addresses that and the period that is reasonable for such desired perfection. The point is it’s unreasonable and unnecessary. I realise now I’ve been overusing that second adjective lately. Do you know much about grass and pitches? I don't so I have no idea ...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

I remember hearing/reading somewhere that the reason UEFA want the ground reserved for so long is to protect the grass. They want the grass perfect for the players/match - no bad press for UEFA - and for it to look great on the telly. Yeah, we got that in Gerry’s article. He addresses that and the ...

Re: Leinster v Northampton Saints - EPCR Semi-Final Croke Park 4th May

I think people may be getting the wrong end of the stick here. The new proposal is for the Semi-finals to be held in a Neutral Destination City. Lisbon and Porto are two of the cities in question. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/article/2024/may/06/champions-cup-organisers-considering-one-city-sem...

Re: Leinster v Northampton Saints - EPCR Semi-Final Croke Park 4th May

I'd say cheapest tickets will be €35 with anything reasonable around €50. It the pricing is anywhere near as cheap it'll be v surprising. EPCR have no clue, on how to get the crowds in balanced with making a reasonable amount. I'd love to know what the GAA are charging EPCR. Sent from my SM-G990B u...

Re: 6 Nations 2024

great point made by Tim on the eggchasers rugby podcast and that is "a back-to-back grandslam, if it happens, is a PROPER extra special achievement, because it means you have beaten all the teams home and away over the ten games" They should have a name for it and a silly trophy. It shoul...

Re: 6 Nations 2024

Regarding the houses in Havelock Square.

I had heard years ago the IRFU were buying any of them when they came to market.

Told at the weekend that the IRFU have members of the 7s squads living in them at the moment.

So it's obviously being looked at.

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens

All these players leaving.

Does this mean the Premiership Clubs have learnt their lesson and are cutting their cloth to their measure?

If so it only took 3 clubs to go bust to show them the error of their ways.

Also the French had a water carrier on the pitch. Surely not allowed during play.
