Re: 6 Nations 2021
Rhys can count himself very unlucky (as usual), but can see why they've went with Beirne at 6 as it gets two of our best performers over last few games and Ryan onto the pitch. On the other hand, Baird can count himself pretty lucky based on his form to be in there. Should cause havoc when he comes ...

Re: 6 Nations 2021
That's a really nice looking side with plenty of power and energy up front and loads of ammo in the backline.
Would fancy that to put 45-50 on Italy.
If the forwards can serve up JGP with quick ball he could have a very good day.

Re: Glasgow at Home, Sunday the 28th, 5.30pm
If the option is Rhys/VDF or Soroka/another academy player you'd have to start the senior player every day of the week.

Re: Glasgow at Home, Sunday the 28th, 5.30pm
Ulster have put out a belter of a side for their game tomorrow.
Could be a tough task to turn them over in Ravers.
Which makes this an absolutely crucial game!

Having Rhys would be a huge boost.
Better him playing this than being a 24th man in Rome.

Re: Heineken Cup 2020/21
So basically we'll have a home draw against one of:
Lyon, Toulouse, La Rochelle, Scarlets, ASM Clermont Auvergne, Bristol Bears, Exeter Chiefs, Edinburgh Rugby, Gloucester Rugby, RC Toulon, Sale Sharks.

Re: Heineken Cup 2020/21
Following in-depth discussions with its shareholder leagues and unions, EPCR can announce revised tournament formats for the 2020/21 Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup. Both tournaments will resume with Rounds of 16 matches on the weekend of 2/3/4 April and the knockout stages will continue wi...

Doris was doing on pitch stuff today.
Looked fairly light, but good to see.

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
Hmmm, that doesn't reflect very well on Leinster physio/S&C side of things to have guys coming back and getting injured almost immediately.
Could just be luck, but two in one go is strange.

Re: Tighthead Prop going forward
Might also be a bit of horse trading with the IRFU - if you move Porter to LH you can sign a new NIQ TH.

Re: Tighthead Prop going forward
I assume they're doing the maths that:
Bent may finish up.
Porter may move to LH.
Furlong will barely play for us.
Vakh may not return.
Clarkson is 21.
McGrath probably doesn't have a future at this level.
It's also probably an attempt to get some islander power into the side.

I see Gomes Sa being mentioned in that article too, that would've been a strange signing (albeit a very good one!)

Ruaidhri O'Connor reporting that we are interested in Isi Tu'ungafasi [source: https://www.independent.ie/sport/rugby/leinster-rugby/crusader-isileli-tuungafasi-tops-list-as-leinster-go-in-search-of-an-overseas-tighthead-prop-40121376.html ]. Re: A whiff of Cordite
The only Irish side to have lost a game to a non Irish side this season is Connacht. In the Top 14, the gap between the top six teams is 9 points. In the Prem, the gap between the top five teams is 9 points. In our league, the gap between the top three teams is 9 points. The league is shite at the m...

MOR was a bit ropey in his first few games, but was much better at the weekend imo, in tough conditions.

Re: Glasgow at Home, Sunday the 28th, 5.30pm
This is a huge game and we're down to bare bones. Next two weeks could go a long way to defining our season. Quick turnaround to Ulster also. I wonder will they bring Soroka in to play 8 or push someone else in there. Josh M would probably be the best shout but don't think he has ever played there. ...

Ulster win with no TBP. So we gain a point on them overall with the TBP.
